One for metaphor collectors in this review of the Brighton concert by the local paper. "If Sonic and Jason were the Lennon and McCartney of Spacemen 3, then Jason is McCartney."

who knows. i didn't understand a word of it. he is mccartney, he's not mccartney...whaaaaaaaaaaaa????????????????

do you think the reviwer only knows the beatles? and only by name rather than music. the review made no sense whatso ever. and for a review about J spaceman live it focused very little on J spaceman live, infact focused very little on J spaceman full stop. do you think Sonic wrote the review??
'raging and weeping are left on the early road
now each in his holy hill
the glittering and hurting days are alomst done
then let us compare mythologies
i have learned my elaborate lie
of soaring crosses and poisened thorns'

Maybe a typo - sounds like an Argos review.

Has anyone else been surprised by the lack of media reviews for the shows? The only national one I've seen is the Times online. I'm a bit surprised that the Guardian hasn't done summat on it.

Have to agree about the lack of press coverage, but given some of the things written beforehand, is this such a bad thing? Here's the Nottingham Evening Post: "Mainlines is to the acoustic gig what John Travolta is to David Koresh - bigger and bolder."
