Strings and singers

Post by E Starquake »

Does anyone know the names of the string players and singers on the Acoustic Mainlines tour?

I was at Kendal Brewery Arts Centre show last night and loved it. The strength of the songs just shone.

Aren't the singers members of the London Community Gospel Choir ? I thought at Nottingham that it was members of LCGC who were singing so beautifully. And looking on their website i'm pretty sure i recognise 2 of the singers.

Not sure about the string quartet though but the other day i saw an advert on tv and there was a lady playing the Cello and it got me thinking. Can't remember what the advert was for now.

I got chatting to one of the string quartet after the Brighton show and apparently they were recommended by Tom Edwards

That all sounds very official, and rather exciting...

Thanks for the replies here folks.

I shall eagerly await the live album!

The show stands out for me against the previous Spiritualized gigs I've been to due to the simplicity and intimacy of the setting. (The Brewery in Kendal is fairly small, with tiered seated and no stage as such.)

anorthernsoul: I'll happily answer that about the set list. I think it was pretty much the same as the lists that I've seen around the message board but if you want me to compare it to a specific list then let me know.

Best wishes to you all,
