Post by They Transmit »

If you all registered at the new Verve site then you should have got a mail this morning 6am-ish about advance ticket sales today at 9am.
Fingers crossed its more SIH/NS than UH and Ashcrofts shit ballads.

29.50 each!!!!!

Guess whoever payed the alleged 20 million for them to re-unite is recouping that back off the fans.

...and the worst of it all it could be a dreadful Ashcroft promotion machine. I just want to see Nick doing his thing one last time. I wonder if that includes booking fee as well?
You can only order 2 tickets per person LOL WHO COULD AFFORD MORE!!

No actually, when you take in all the extras booking fee/transaction fee
70quid for two tickets

thats 600,000 quid in ticket sales alone for 6 nights,

much were Acoustic Mainlines Tickets 18 quid?

Well thats it done; not a bad weekend~good lady and I are off to see Ray Lamontagne on the Friday (Edinburgh) and then The Verve on Saturday (Glasgow)...right where's good to stay/eat in Edinburgh...

Ha ha - Seetickets must have heard me - finally got through and snagged a pair for the Roundhouse. Still spluttering at the cost, but my guess is there'll be some up on eBay imminently for at least double that....

Well, I got two tickets for the Friday show at the Roundhouse. Still amazed at the cost but if it is a ASIH/NS type affair then it will be worth it. I remember seeing them many years ago at a London Astoria gig put on for some Gary Crowley (remember him) television show. They didn't play for long, but they were bloody great. Also playing were Swervedriver, James ( I think) and someone else. Anyone remember what I am on about?

Can't get onto the wretched site due to ridiculous filtering system at work. Are the Roundhouse tickets seated or standing? And are they limited to two each just for today? x

Nope no real details about the shows other than they are working on new material and it is the original line up.

I am in the market for spares for the London shows too. They all went within five minutes, entered my details on the website twice only to be told that they no longer had tickets. A million curses. Am keeping everything crossed that they will add more dates - except my eyes of course, that would be just plain silly. Not to mention unattractive.

My mate managed to snare 2 seating tickets for Friday's London gig this morning. Hoorah! He said it was an absolute nightmare trying to get them.

I tried yesterday and failed, and the same thing happened today despite the site listing them as being available. Bollocks.

I think its pretty poor that this sort of thing happens time and time again. Tickets sites that are woefully unable to deal with a lot of traffic at a given time.
Maybe its time that they took a look at their servers current capacity; they could have easily increased capacity for this sort of thing, but hey, that costs so what am I talking about, as if they who provide such services would ever spend more than the bare minimum to make as much as possible back.

maybe they should have given some to the shops to sell the way they did in medieval times. I wouldnt mind letting one of my mates queue up overnight for something special

Virgin Mega Store, Union St. Glasgow, 1995... was that you?
Then they started selling them from some wee bothy, up the stairs in the Cathouse!

Got tickets for Glasgow...never been to the Carling Academy

Blackpool Empress Ballroom looks like a glorious place for a Verve gig..

http://www.wintergardensblackpool.co.uk ... lroom.html

wonder what the sound is like there?

Is is just me or are touts just plain evil.. tickets are going for silly money on ebay. Reals fans have to pay through the nose, but it seems theres no way to really solve the problem?

Anyone that didn't manage to get ticket should take comfort from the fact that these are blatantly just small warm-up gigs to create a buzz, there's obviously gonna be bigger gigs later on that should be easier to get tickets for...

Seems a bit disloyal all of us going on and on about the man who broke Jason's heart!!!

Having said that, now Jase's happily settled down with a couple of lovely kids I'm sure he won't mind...

Trying to get a ticket for Glastonbury was stressful enough. Didn't want to go through all that again.

I'm ready to take a spare for either Blackpool or Glasgow or London..... 8)

No that wasnt me man. I always managed to dodge the short straw on such occasions. However I would turn up now and then to offer a flask of hot piss and a few swearwords to my friends that had been queueing all day. Its times like that that bring you closer.

And there I was labouring under the misapprehension that it was a woman who broke Jason's heart!
