Spritualized concert streaming live tomorrow on NPR.org

We at NPR will be hosting a live stream of Spiritualized in concert from the 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. tomorrow night, Friday July 25, at approximately 10 pm EST. We will also be hosting a live chatroom from the concert floor during the show to answer any questions you may have and to chat about the band, the show, and anything else that might come up! You can't download it yet. I think it will eventually find it's way onto iTunes as a podcast. Gottafire has ripped the audio and said he will post the flacs when he gets the chance. The he and I are getting married.

That show sounds like a blinder! 'Lay Back In The Sun' sounds....holy.

I'm thinking these recent shows - the electric mainline with the choir - are the best Spiritualized shows i've ever heard. Streamlined but amazing. Check out Doggen's guitar work - easily the best Spiritualized guitarist, ever. The girls are just amazing. 'Shine A Light' has never sounded as good as it does now. WOW!

Look what they've done to 'Walkin' With Jesus' - it's now a country-soul-blues shuffle! Doggen's playing shit very reminiscent of Perfect Prescription on top. That chorus is pure joy...again, I cannot recall any live take off that song - which surely has been played more than any other - sounding as good as that.


Now I just have to try and see them live. I too want my spine shattered and my head feel like its gonna explode....in a good way

Yeah, that was awesome. They've really picked up a song that had almost literally been done to death and breathed new life into it! This version is in my book second only to the "Out of It" demo with the superfuzzy drone..

just listened to this- what an excellent recording!! thought it might be a good un as i grabbed a wilco bootleg from this site (same venue) which also sounded brilliant.

it's the first one from this tour for me which really gives a flavour of being at the A&E shows- in previous recordings the guitars always seems a bit quiet. There also seems a healthy bit of reverb added- nice.

I'm gonna try and resist listening to Electricity/LBITS/Fiddle until October as I want it to be a surprise how they sound, if they play them at Birmingham.. wonder how long i'll last.. the files are just sitting there saying 'play me'.
