brixton ticket question???

Post by assoc. »

has anyone been to brixton academy recently?

if so, do you know what the score with circle tickets are? A few years ago you used to be able to get someone to walk out from downstairs with 2 tickets and smuggle you back in...do you now get a wristband or stamp???

cheers........

yes. i'm sure the academy management will have a meeting and change their whole security policy, retrain the doorstaff, order stamps/wristbands for all future events due to one statement on a message board...

i've been to countless gigs where you can get into any part of the venue if you try hard enough....it used to be commonplace at brixton for ticket pass outs to happen for every gig...

hi,
i live in Bacelona, Spain. I have bought apair of tickets for the Primal Scream/Spitiyualized show at the brixton academy I have also bought the flight tickets too.
I need some information about the venue cause it's the first time i go there. Is it big?which is the capacity? Seats? which is a good position to watch teh concert? I will possibly bring my md recorder with me. CAn anyone tell me if the security will check the pockets or there are no problem i bring it well hidden?
thans for all.

You'll be fine If you act like you should be in the standing circle and walk in with enough confidence even if they see you ticket its normally ok. Ive done it. Plus you feel a bit naughty and snigger during the gig, makes it soooo much better.

Slightly off topic, but I'm hoping that 'externalizing' might help... :?

At the Briton Ac. in 1993 for Mint 400/God Machine/JaMC; in the Gents, queuing for a urinal, I noticed a man pissing in the sink...'radical - nice one' I thought, before noticing via the mirror that 'it' had a fucking great bolt through it.
