I simply can't contain myself, I'm so excited for this show. Who is going? I'm from Jersey but haven't been to the States for 2 and a half years. Serendipitously, I arrive back in NYC that morning. First night back to the states, floating in space. Can't wait!

Funny because I'm also an American who lives outside of the country and will be in NYC for this show. I was lucky enough to see them in Poland last summer and on every tour since the LGWF tour.. it would have been a serious shame to miss this show.

Its going to be an amazing show! Im very jealous, as the Jig/Shaun said of the Acoustic Mainlines Radio City show it is Doggen's proudest moment of his life. I can imagine J feels the same. Its my brothers stag do on Friday to Monday of I'd be there like a shot. Have a great time everyone! If the Barbican show I went to was any indication you are in for a very, very special night.

I'm really excited, I plan to record the show tomorrow. I got a pretty good recording of them in Poland last summer so I'm excited. I just hope the security doesn't find my gear! Check back on this board over the weekend for the recording:)

A slightly different venue, actually. The acoustic mainline show was at The Apollo in Harlem. Regardless, this should be an amazing show as well....the "last" LAGWAFIS show...very jealous indeed!

Man, I really hope someone makes a good recording of this show. I had tickets in an awesome spot for recording, but couldn't get off of work. Gave the tickets to a buddy. I wish he was someone I could trust with my gear, but he's a bit of a space cadet, and he's never seen SPZ before so I wouldn't want to take away from the enjoyment too much.

Have fun folks. Shouldn't be to difficult.

alrighty. done. my computer was acting kind of weird today- i was worried it'd crap out at some point while i was recording the stream, but it did not. i'm going to work on it after i get home from work tomorrow (there are a few audio drop outs and stuff). once it's done i'll post some flacs for you fine folks.
i'll also add that i cried a few times while i was watching the show- really wish i could've been there in person, but i'm over the moon that i got to see the whole stream.

Apparently software called Replay Media Catcher will capture the video from livestream.com (see here - http://stream-recorder.com/forum/www-li ... t4085.html). I've gotten hold of said software and will attempt to record it next week (I'll test it on the other shows during the week if I can). Perhaps some other people would like to do the same in case I fuck it up somehow?

I thought I made a post about this but maybe I screwed it up...

Anyway, what was the deal with the merch? I didn't get a good look but it looked like there were t-shirts going for $70/$80 a piece. Did I see that right? Anyone get one/have pics?

Amazing show... cheers.

Thank you for capturing this. Was there in the first row of the balcony and was completely overwhelmed by how good it was. The arrangements, the performance, the sound...just incredible. And the end of Stay With Me got my eyes watery, as it also did my buddy sitting next to me. Stunningly beautiful stuff all night.

Yeah, the one that they posted about on the news portion was $80. Pretty cool shirt, it was $80 b/c it was hand numbered and limited to 300....and designed by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helmut_Lan ... esigner%29

There were two other show-specific ones that sold out sooner, they were both $20 - very reasonable & I ended up going for one of those.

Pill box shirts were $30. Show poster that had the image of one of the two cheaper shirts was $40 (and very cool, might I add).

Glad to see there were some more reasonable alternatives. should have checked out the mech earlier I suppose but traffic kinda put me a little behind schedule so it was straight to the bar then to the seats.

Hi All,

For those of you who missed the Web rip of the live stream from Radio City Music Hall, I managed to find a whole copy of it (some angel recorded it and posted it on Demonoid--not for the one night when it streamed, but an .AVI captured video. Of course, the quality ain't so great visually, but the sound is excellent. And if you weren't there :| , it's really the next best thing: you get the scope of all the musicians on the stage, the various gospel choirs all substituting for a track in the recording studio--it's stunning how he used live musicians to recreate what's basically one of the most obsessive studio albums since Pet Sounds. I myself am hooked on it. When he goes back and forth between microphones, one singing "All I want's a little love to take the pain away" then the gospel choir picks up that track, and he switches mics and in the next one which is apparently set to a sad, low-fi growl, sings "Only fools rush in" it is so amazing. No doubt, the man is a genius.

I'd be happy to upload the show on Megaupload if there's any interest (i.e. if everyone doesn't already have it), just respond and if there's interest I'll do it. It's just too amazing, and rather than turning green, I'll just take the trip:

Everything happens today
And we're out here to stay
And I don't know where we are all going to

As E of the Eels says:

Heads up, kittens
Everything is bad
The sky is dark now
But it's the best dark i ever had

Hang on to a little thing
And let it guide the way
Bring it with you to
Another day

In other words, if this is heartbreak, it's also living life to the fullest!!!! Hmmm.....time to pull out an Elliott Smith quote? :?

I have no right to request this seeing as I hardly contribute to the forum (I might literally have no right: this post mightn't see the light of day, might soon be removed). I'm obsessed with the Radio City Music Hall concert. If somebody could link once more to a FLAC of it, I'd be forever grateful.

I'm happy to report that I was finally able to find the backup drive that the flacs for this show were on. I've uploaded them to my dropbox, where I plan to host them permanently as I get asked for them from time-to-time. It's a single zip file, kinda big (around 750mb). Let me know if there are any issues.
