Repeat Percussion

Post by TheWarmth »

I picked this guy up recently on the cheap. I've been looking for one for a long time and lucked out on an ebay sale. This is the repeat percussion tremolo effect that is featured so heavily on S3 and early Spiritualized records, although I don't know if they used this specific pedal or not. Tyler (Shalloboi) and I were discussing and know that this effect is built into the Vox Starstream guitar that Sonic used, so that's probably the source for it on the S3 recordings.

Also, I'm sure this was intended for use with Farfisa organs, but it works just fine on guitar.

That's awesome.

I'm pretty sure Sonic used the repeat percussion in the Starstreamer.

I got this guy Jimmy Behan in Ireland to make me a clone.

Hi! New member; thanks for having me!

A few years back, I picked up the first version of the Reuss RF-01 Repeater Fuzz, which is essentially a Repeat Percussion plus a Tonebender, which is a pretty satisfying implementation of the effect. They're in the third version now:

and there's a repeat-only version: https://www.reusseffects.com/products/repeater
