Spiritualized

I'm a novice when it comes to playing guitar (I know enough to be a sloppy rhythm guitarist, I definitely plan to keep at it), but I would love to try and imitate the droney sound Jason was getting during Pure Phase. Does anyone know what effects he was using?

Also, if you know how to play the Mark Radcliffe Session version of 'Let it Flow', could you point me in a direction to learn how to play it? Thanks.
