ah yes..

those tubes and capacitors from the 30s-40s look a lot more sci-fi than icrap or every little faggot app on the planet.

I have the kontakt version of sonic couture´s sampled novachord - some patches sound like a halfbroken mellotron with weird shimmering overtones.

Absolutely Beautiful. I sure the reasonce must be "heard to be believed". Analogue methodology is not always convenient, but it can usually shame most digital devices when superior re-creation of a quality original recording is desired. I am lucky enough to own a number of pre-1965 tube radios, (c.1921-c.1964) from the ordinary to the unbelievable; almost all are capable of Zelby-wave reception and certainly capable of Z-wave transmission. I can only imagine what we have sent floating into space as well as trapped in our own ionosphere. Have you ever caught "Live" Bing Crosby wartime Christmas Shows in July? Speaking of floating in space.........
For listening to any "special recordings" I have always preferred using my best tube amps.

I bought a Hammond Chord organ, it's an S-1, and it's full of tubes too (doesn't look as nice as the Baldwin there). It isn't working well and even if it was, I don't think it's got much of a sound to shout about. So, I'm just going to harvest the vintage tubes to use in my tube microphone or anything else I might aquire that's tubular!

I guess I never mentioned this before, but this organ is on both Soft Speaker albums. Another cool bit about it is the fact that it's got two speakers built in, one on either side, so you can record it in stereo. One is a rotating Leslie speaker. This things is temperamental, so you never know if it's going to work perfectly or fritz out, but when it's working, it's amazing.
