It's in the Stadium (not on the forecourt) and I saw it today, it's at the corner of the Riverside stand for anyone familiar with Craven Cottage.

There is a little bit of history here. About 11/12 years ago MJ was walked around the pitch before a game against Preston North end. He was close enough for me to have hit him with my pie.
I am no fan of MJ and found him a rather sinister figure but there you go...the owner of Fulham is Mohammed Al Fayed who is prone to these kinds of gestures. I know MAF is generally not liked but if it wasn't for him I wouldn't have a team to watch.
Fulham won 3-0 if anyone is interested

Oh, you would have wasted a nice pie at MJ, but maybe not ? I'm not quite sure of the quality of stadium pies
If not MAF it would be another international billionaire tycoon ...
Just a conspiracy theory of mine, but I think MI:6 had Princess Diana and Dodi killed to restore the monarchy and to save face ...

If I had thrown my pie at him I would have probably been shot by “his peopleâ€. I don’t generally buy food at football grounds because at best it’s garbage (except Rochdale).spacemanrich wrote:NickH:

When I look at some teams current situation where they have been bought by un-caring investors I thank god for MAF, I know most people find him odious but I say again, no MAF no Fulham.
The Diana/Dodi/M16 thing? I think it’s unlikely, let it go man.

Take it easy Runcie, it's all in good fun ( maybe not to you ). Don't have to get your knickers all worked up about it.
You do know that MAF can't leave the U.K., it's something regarding coming to the U.K. 20+ years ago as an illegal and making his fortune in the country. Even though he has donated millions of dollars ( philanthropic causes, etc. ) the government wants to stick it to him !

I'll say now that Mohammed Fayed ('the 'Al' is invented by the way, in the same way some pretentious twat might add the word 'sir' to their name) is one of the biggest wankers I have ever come across. Right near the top of my shit list.
If his opinion about Diana and Dodi is what you are basing your 'conspiracy' theory on then that's worrying.
And that's taking it easy...

My flat mate made that sculpture. I say 'made'- because she didn't design it. It's a million miles away from how she would have sculpted it, had she had any creative input. Our friends just won't stop taking the piss out of her, haha. But I'm not complaining... it paid our bills for 6 months. But then, I'm not a football fan!

Re: Michael Jackson statue outside Fulham Stadium
It was quite a funny time though. Al Fayed wanted to come around our flat to look at it at one point, but his body guards couldn't all fit in my tiny place. Total comedy. They didn't come around in the end...

I am beginning to get the feeling that this statue is supposed to be funny.

Re: Michael Jackson statue outside Fulham Stadium
That's a good question. I think he still owned their material when he died, but now I am assuming it goes to the heirs - Mom and Dad, maybe the children ? It doesn't look like Paul McCartney will ever buy back the Beatles music. They say now that MJ is better off dead than alive w/ the royalties, merchandising, etc. flowing to the coffers
Re: Michael Jackson statue outside Fulham Stadium
Just heard that MAF has sold Fulham, I hope he takes that bloody statue with him.
Re: Michael Jackson statue outside Fulham Stadium
Check your PM Nick. I'm delighted to see the back of Fayad...

Looks like the statue might stay ? Seems like it's part of the deal to sell the club, including MJ.

MJ might haunt the Cottagers in the foreseeable future ? I would topple it down like a Saddam Hussein statue in Iraq. Get a couple of punters and put a rope around it's neck and pull hard !

Rumour suggests that this might have been appreciated by MJ himself . Certainly was the way to go for a certain Australian "singer".les revenantes wrote: Get a couple of punters and put a rope around it's neck and pull hard !

Re: Michael Jackson statue outside Fulham Stadium
The American who bought Fulham also owns the Jacksonville Jaguars (American Football team). Fulham is an interesting purchase for him as Jacksonville will be playing a "home" game at Wembley for the next four years. With the NFL looking seriously into expanding the franchise to include a team in London and Wembley hosting a future Super Bowl (bad idea on both counts!), the Jags, who can barely fill their stadium in Florida, are the one team often rumored to potentially move to London.
Hmmmm...I wonder if Shad Khan is setting the gears in motion for the Jags to uproot to London?

Yes, Al Fayed knows where he can stick that statue.
