Re: The West Memphis 3
I remember reading about this years ago, wasn’t Henry Rollins campaigning for these guys?
Fucking horrible story from start to finish.

Re: The West Memphis 3
If anyone cares, here are the primary details.
The 3 admitted and plead guilty to the murders.
The reasoning, put forward by the DA, was that the primary evidence, ie., fiber evidence, was comprimised by the death of the "expert" along with other deaths over the years of various people involved- ergo, the Plea Deal.
Since violence in the West Memphis area is notoriously vicious, with gang behaviours that are simply intolerable, the hope of the DA, (as expressed at a separate event from the Press Conference), was that the 3 gentlemen involved, being placed on a rather rigid sort of parole, would face 21 years in prison should they break that parole, which statistically is very likely. A situation that is unfortunate for everyone in that small area across the Mississippi River from Memphis.
A very Sad Story all the way 'round; from the long dead children to the freed, Admitted Murderers; frankly I believe the truth of what actually happened will never be known.
