David vs Goliath or Blackburn vs Man U

Post by spzretent »

What a fantastic way to either end a shit year or the way I would rather look at it a great, albeit early, start to 2012.
The Blackburn vs Man U game this morning was thrilling. Bottom of the table vs 2nd. What a great game! Great result! Particularly the second half.
I would not want to be the Man U goalie right about now. Nor Sir Alex's chewing gum.

its good to see Steve Kean catching a break after some of the horrendous stick he`s had to put up with in recent weeks from some of the Blackburn fans, nobody should have to put up with that kinda shit for doing their job,and if Man Utd get a poke in the eye with a sharp stick along the way then thats a bonus :)

I have always had a soft spot for Blackburn. Goes back to the Shearer/Sutton days with that cool checkerboard jersey.

Nah. It could have been Man City at their stadium. Bottom of table beating top of table away is huge. And it was thrilling.
Unless of course if you are a Man U fan.

lol @ man u

wouldnt exactly compare blackburn & their venkys/criminal backing to david but it was still a cracking game.

utd are in bad shape. their response since the city game was disguised by poor opposition & their floundering in europe was the real utd on show.

against newcastle i was amazed at the difference in quality between the two line-ups. it's was painfully obvious utd would be outclassed, especially in MF - tiote/cabaye vs. carrick/giggs in midfield was a mismatch. carrick is a nothing player & giggs can't compete in the centre. & at the back, rio is gone & jones is not a good CB (tho he is a terrific RB - his progress has been undermined by ferg using him as a utility player). park & nani are a joke, rooney's freshly follicled dome is not match sharp, berba is useless as are hernandez & welbeck.

i never cared much for pardew, but fuck he made some GREAT signings in the summer. cabaye is sensational, demba ba on a free transfer is one of the signings of the century. santon could be class.

utd have been fortunate the past few yrs with chelsea in decline & rudderless, arsenal a nothing club & loliverpool. but now city are exposing them & their reliance on "squad" players. they were exposed by barca, twice, and they haven't acted in the transfer market to adddress the balance in the team.
they are simply not good enough. weighed down by a bloated squad of average talent.
getting what they deserve this season.
gonna burn brightly
for a while
