Just seems like that list could almost have been made 20 years ago.
New Glarus make the best fruit beers in the world.
Belgian Cherry
Raspberry Tart
Strawberry Rhubarb
All fantastic. I just wish they were higher in abv.
They are also inexpensive at $8 per wine bottle size bottle. Problem is you have to go to Wisconsin. No outside distribution.

ANOTHER SURVEY ! This one is Zymurgy ( a homebrew magazine ). I used to subscribe to this one a long time ago. (3) of the top 5 beers are from Michigan : 2 Hearted Ale (Bell's), Founder's Breakfast Stout (Founder's), Hopslam (Bells).

Interesting to read the comments too from other people.

The New Glarus fruit beers are now $10 a bottle. I'm going there this weekend and will probably grab one or two. They're so good.

Regarding Heady Topper, I've had it twice. Once was about 3 years ago and my friends and I were very, very impressed. However, about a year ago we managed to score four more cans and it was dramatically less impressive. I don't know if they changed the recipe or what, but it wasn't nearly as good. Definitely a bummer.

Had New Glarus once or so at the GABF ( Great American Beer Festival ) - Denver, CO way back in the day 96' or so. Definately made an impression. Getting some of their beers is probably harder than scoring crack cocaine ...

I think some of the better smaller breweries have passed them by. It happens. I had a beer last week that is the best Michigan beer I have tasted in probably 10 years. Drafting Table- Lurky NE Red IPA. It is brewed 30 minutes from here. So many new breweries have upped their game.
I have a mixed case of New Glarus fruit beers coming this weekend. Cant wait.

I bought a New Glarus Serendipity and a sixer of Moon Man, which, admittedly, is not spectacular, but it's a good everyday beer.

Nah, that shit is EVERYWHERE in Wisconsin. You can buy it at gas stations. But, if you don't live in or near WI, you have to have someone score it for you.

Currently an amazing summer beer released as a seasonal.
Brewery Vivant Tropical Saison in pint cans. Pineapple and mango Saison. Fantastic on these hot, sweaty summer nights.

There has been a decline in pubs the last decade or so and I knew about that citing the price of pints, cheaper booze at Tesco's, declining drinkers, popularity of wines, health reasons, etc., etc. but this is a bit much with the small chain of British pubs called, " White Punks ". Instead of throwing darts they have installed throwing axes (see photo).

Maybe, its just me, but I see a calamity in the works here.

Pissed Punter + Ax = Not a good idea

These axe throwing places are popping up in the US, too. I've never been to one and I'm not sure if the ones here serve alcohol, but yeah ... sounds like a pretty terrible combination to me. Also, "White Punks" ... ugh. Terrible name.
