Recording gigs?

Post by Shaun »

Going to a concert in 4 weeks time which I'd really like to try and record but having never recorded a gig before I've got no equipment. Any recommendations on what to buy? Probably have maximum budget of £100.

I have an Edirol R-09, which I love for recording gigs. Easy to be stealthy with, as it's about the size of a pack of cigs. Might be more than you are looking to spend, though.

If you have an iPhone, there are also some nice stereo microphones that can be plugged in to it and used to record straight onto the phone.
