Is it OK to post this in "music"?

Just wondering if there is something going on with the forum in the past week or so.
it keeps disappearing.
thanks!

Yeah.
It's going in the footsteps of the official website.

Re: message board is being elusive
I too have had issues logging in or it times out trying to load the page.
Re: message board is being elusive
Had issues last weekend, has been fine since.
Re: message board is being elusive
Today it went. Then came back.
Re: message board is being elusive
I spoke with Nightwash about this. It appears that this is an issue with the provider as opposed to the server. As it affects so many people it's likely to be fixed quicker, but there was a 2nd glitch this week of course.
Hoping normal things will resume from now anyway!

Hi
This sure doesnt belong here - i will move it to Other
Yes, the server worries me a bit. It worked pretty well since the move, but the last 2 weeks were rather annoying. The first outage should have been caused by a maintenance from the provider, but i doubt it. Or they started 1 day before the announcement which was anyway not too obvious. But i will let them go with that excuse.
The outage yesterday was strange, i need to investigate here a bit. Sadly i can do this earliest tomorrow. If there are more outages like those, i think its time to move again. But this time at least the domain will go with us, so you dont have to update your bookmarks again
One point on the domain - i cant do nothing to get the spiritualized.com domain. I am still not sure who is responsible for that.

the page dosen't load often plus i keep having post disapearing- but most of the time it works fine so
“You're not Dostoevsky,' said the citizeness
'Well, who knows, who knows,' he replied.
'Dostoevsky's dead,' said the citizeness, but somehow not very confidently.
'I protest!' Behemoth exclaimed hotly. 'Dostoevsky is immortal!”

Honestly - you really have page issues often? I have normally no problems at all, just those 2 weekends where the server was crashed.
Can you please report it to me when posts disappear? I may find out something.
If both problems only affect you, chances are high that you have a local problem with your pc and/or internet.

Re: message board is being elusive
Damn, i thought that the problem would been solved. I opened another ticket at the provider and asked them what happened.

Re: message board is being elusive
I haven't experienced any problems at all with the site
It's hard to estimate how frequently I check in, but it's probably about once a day on average. 99% of my access is just a quick look on my phone's browser using the "View New Posts" button. More often than not there's nothing new that interests me - so unless I happen to leave the page open without realising, I'm usually only logged in for a matter of seconds.
Seems odd I never had any problems accessing the forum for as long as I can remember (e.g. at least as far back as when the URL changed) yet other folk have all had similar issues recently ... guess that's just down to good luck - or bad luck depending on your point of view
Hope I haven't jinxed my good fortune by tempting fate!

I'm like Evel Knievel, I get paid for the attempt. I didn't promise this shit would be good!

Re: message board is being elusive
Ok, here are the news - the "real" server has some kind of hardware problem which causes the sporadical outages. Sadly those are hard to find but they are working on it.
This forum is running as a virtual machine and should be started automatically when the server boots again. This didnt happen, the provider will look into this. If it boots automatically, the downtime should be around 10 minutes which is not too long.
Lets look forward for a stable future
