Sound Engineering

Post by Muscles »

Hi i was wondering if any of you know
Any free programs that are easy to use.
I recorded a bunch of beatles songs
On my phone but they sound a bit tin-y.
I want to beef them up a bit.
They are mp3
Any advice on this will help

NCH Wavepad is work a look. Can be found online for free. Allows you to play about with sound files. I've used it for beefing up live recordings and albums which sound really quiet.

Laz the app looks quite amazing however
When I tried to stick the file in it is mp4
Not compatible apparently.
Can I convert this file how?
Or is there a more appropriate app?
Forgive my ignorance on this.

Did you manage to get this working? I haven't dealt with audio files in mp4 format (isn't that normally video footage?) but if you managed to convert them into a usable format this app should work very well for you.

Yep right video files.
It was a free govt phone.
I recorded some acoustic guitar on
The voice record function
But it sounds electric
Like i did 30 beatles tunes
Some of the performances are ok.
Some not.
This app will do it
But i have to upgrade my speakers.

Have you any experience with
Introducing drums into this app?
Drum apps?
Synching this difficulty?

You can't multi-track unfortunately... however you can insert or append tracks together to join tracks in a sequence. Depends what you are trying to get to. Good for creating a single mp3 of multiple tracks (for like a playlist or podcast) but not great for layering tracks on top of each other.

I love it, even in spite of the misogynistic lyrics ("...you gotta give me more"?).
