sad day :(
“You're not Dostoevsky,' said the citizeness

'Well, who knows, who knows,' he replied.

'Dostoevsky's dead,' said the citizeness, but somehow not very confidently.

'I protest!' Behemoth exclaimed hotly. 'Dostoevsky is immortal!”

Die Hard wouldn't have been half as good without him... christ, he was the saving grace in Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves! His deadpan humour was great to watch. Real shame.

Yes superb voice. Like he savoured every sentence. He obviously adored words & his work. A legacy of great fun.

There was a sort of goofy Sci-Fi film called "Galaxy Quest", and that voice was very much the same; "savoring every line" is very well said. But this movie was one where he was NOT the bad guy, and he did comedy well. So many - too many names have come up lately, and I have heard of even more that I did not see listed on this SITE; it is difficult to see these people go. Very hard. He had quite a list of films and accomplishments to his name.

RIP Alan Rickman.
