my guess is you are right. but there is one member who posted quite a bit and has either deleted most of his posts or asked one of the mods to do it.
And then I am assuming Baz had edited some stuff just due to the last post in the infamous thread.
as for the moderators, there would be a hell of a lot of porn, phendrine, insurance and furniture posts if we didn't delete. just speaking for myself i delete about 10 a day. of the spam that is.

It would be interesting if we could see what's originally posted before the persons involved lose the bottle/sober up/replace with a witty picture etc.
We just get left with deleting the wicker furniture/blow up lizards/false limb advertisements.
Someone here saw it. Where it says that amount of 'views' a thread as had, this one is over 600 now, i saw that it had at least 10 'views' so it was real.

I've had enough contact with the other mods and even ex-mods here to know them pretty well I reckon - no matter what people think there is no cliquey behaviour (the mods have argued in private and still do occasionally) and everyone posting here has their say. I can see no reason for Jig's thread being deleted - in fact I thought it sounded like a decent post. He's far from happy that it disappeared, which I understand completely, but I can see no reason for anyone on the modding side to delete it and I doubt that the other guys did. I know I didn't. Jig's input on the board is generally good/stimulating, he knows his music and he's a valued member. Hell I even shook his hand at an Acoustic Mainline show.
This board is so SO out of date in terms of the set up. The hackers played with us and the board occasionally collapses for a few days (every time I think that's the last we'll see of it). Threads have occasionally been moved to other topics without any moderator doing it and I know posts have vanished before (although that's pretty rare) without any of us deleting them. There is talk of a whole new message board being set up although this might mean the end of this one. If it saves the moderators from having to sort through 60 emails a day from potential posters (99.9% of whom only want people to buy porn) I'm happy to go with that. It's a huge pain to have to veto every applicant. Maybe a poll is required? What do people think about this? There is a huge archive of info here which is invaluable to some extent. But there is no chance of the existing board being updated it seems. So it's either lump it or set up a new one.
Post your thread again Jig. If it's deleted a 2nd time you may have an issue

Good point and good question. I had a post go missing in the 'Just A Remeinder.....' thread and only made reference to Sinead O'Connor adding backing vocals to an Ian Brown song.
No one is being censored. The board is malfunctioning. I managed to save a copy of the Noel Gallagher thread on my hard disk just after it went missing (I clicked File -> Work Offline, and then went through my history), but my technical acumen is limited and it may take me a while to post its contents somewhere.
