Apropos of nothing, call it Two Degrees of the Byrds. I figure anything made anywhere near California passes the test, but last night I was watching The (original, 1984) Terminator with the wife and stayed awake for the credits, long enough to find the name of the person responsible for that super-cool stop-motion robot stuff at the end of the film. The man's name? Peter Kleinow. Yup - the very same - Sneeky Pete Kleinow, guitarist for the Flying Burrito Brothers &c. Who knew? Certainly not me. I knew he did stop motion (Gumby, etc.), a mode I've always loved, but I had no idea he was involved in The Terminator, which is just about the awesomest thing ever.
