Sun - then maybe you can recommend a suitable bar nearby...not been to the venue, don't know the city. I'm staying in the hostel.

Mandela Hall is in the Student Union of Queen's University. Its been a long time since I was at a gig there (Manics - with Ritchie!) but it's a good wee venue - intimate. non seated. good views of Jason's handsome face. Wheres the hostel you're staying in? Shaftsbury Square? If so its only a short dander up the road. There are bars in the union itself or loads within walking distance on Botanic Avenue, Shaftsbury Square, Lisburn Road or Malone Road. So jealous. I cant make it. It's an electric mainline gig aint it? not acoustic? Were you at the gig in Glasgow Carling Academy last year? Phenomonal

Cheers Sledgebaz - the hostel's on Donegall Road, so hopefully not far. I've never been to the venue and only been to Belfast for work - don't know it at all.

Last year in Glasgow was one of the best gigs I have ever seen - transcendental or what! I'm expecting an electric mainline, but with the A&E due out (and I'm not one who can wait so have downloaded it..lol) there may be some surprises....does any know?

and why aren't you going!
