:D Excellent. Got me thinking, imagine if Mark E had fronted Joy Division, and Ian Curtis The Fall.

It made me smile I must admit. Mind you I did once have to point out to someone who was setting up an unofficial Spiritualized site that the large picture they were using of Jason's face actually wasn't Jason - it was Pete K. A delicious irony there...

Definitely a lot of irony in the shirt.

Smith has been very vocal about his distaste for Joy Division. He has cited "all Ian Curtis derivatives" as his favorite comedian and has included references to them in live takes of songs ("If we carry on like this we're going to end up like Joy Division").

And I don't think the Joy Division camp thinks fondly of The Fall. In the biopic Closer, after Ian has one of his seizures, someone in the band says, "It could be worse...we could be The Fall."

I still have an Arthur Lee & Love t-shirt that I drunkenly bought off a pavement seller after staggering out of the Forum about five years ago. What I love about the shirt is that the “designer” made a huge effort to get the Love logo correct and then in bog standard font (Arial?) underneath it just says “with Arthur Lee” The t-shirt never shrank, the transfer is still hanging on in there and I wear this shirt a lot. Couple more years and I can punt it on e-bay as vintage.

See, this seller doesn't know much about western pop music.

However, the shirt would be gold if it had "Bob Dylan" on the top of it.
