Rollercoaster box set (live songs, unofficial)

It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

Rollercoaster box set (live songs, unofficial)

Post by davedecay »

ran across this last night...
http://anorthcountrybhoy.wordpress.com/ ... er-boxset/

“…The number of bootlegs already in circulation is staggering. This box, however, still represents a substantial addition to the catalogue. The selections are from relatively obscure bootlegs. They’re well-selected, and well-arranged. The recording quality isn’t always crystal, but where it’s weaker, the performances are strong enough to justify it…”

The bulk of the tracks are taken from the following shows: ULU, London, 4/11/88, The Blitz Reverberation Club, Rugby 6/3/86, Drummonds, Easton Road 15/11/88 and Weisbaden, Deutschland 2/2/88.

Disc 1
1. Intro
2. Rollercoaster (13th Floor Elevators cover)
3. Little Doll (Stooges cover)
4. These Things
5. 235
6. Hey Man (Bukka White pseudo cover)
7. Some Kinda Love (Velvet Underground cover)
8. Losing Touch With My Mind
9. Things’ll Never Be the Same
10. Take Me To the Other Side

Disc 2
1. Come Down Easy
2. Walking With Jesus Feat. The Jazz Butcher
3. Maryanne
4. Che (Suicide cover)
5. I Believe It
6. Honey (instrumental)
7. Repeater
8. Transparent Radiation (Red Krayola cover)

Disc 3
1. Walking with Jesus
2. Come Together (MC5 cover)
3. Tuning Up
4. Starship
5. Ecstasy
6. Revolution
7. Suicide
8. OD Catastrophe

mp3 320

All different servers so theoretically you can grab them all at same time.

note commments:

Where can I buy this Boxset? Can’t find anything in Google…

After digging around myself I ain’t got a clue. Me thinks this is just a fan made package which has slipped under my fan made radar….

If memory serves me correct it was our very own evan:> who put these together a few years ago. There's a thread somewhere...

Yup ... thats a 3 cd compilation called "three sizes too big" that I put together back in september 2008. I put it together from the 2 dvds that were shared via post by someone on here.

Its still available for free here ---- http://spacemen3.blogspot.com/ ---- a blog that I set up thats had 4300 page hits and comes up number three on google search for "spacemen 3". And thats without any advertising.

Not sure who repackaged as Spacemen 3 – Rollercoaster Boxset .... guess I'l have to ask on anorthcountrybhoy.

A link or some kinda credit would have been nice but hey its the internetz ... ))

I just hope someone isnt selling it ...

Hi Evan, I just tried downloading from your site:

Download not available
The following download is not available:

It'd be great if you could re-up them.
Thanks.

Some of the links, including those of the freeform freakout show with the peter gunn theme, are no longer functioning on this fantastic blog. Any chance of a re-up?

Taken from a gig at the Melkweg in Amsterdam that ended up as the Performance album.

I believe the bonus tracks on Performance were originally the Threebie release?

And, does anyone have the ability to re-up those shows on that awesome blog? :D
