Sonic Mixes on 13 Most Beautiful

It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

Sonic Mixes on 13 Most Beautiful

Post by sparta72 »

Just got Dean & Britta 13 Most Beautiful Songs for Andy Warhol's Screen Test.

Lots of lovely crafted songs in a very nicely packaged and informative double CD sleeve.

The best song on there IMHO is the opener Silver Factory Theme.

Sonic applies his spacey touches to and remixes to these tracks

Disc 1 Track 8. Teenage Lightning ( Lonely Highways )

Disc 2 Track 3. Silver Factory Redux

Disc 2 Track 5. I Found It Not So

Well worth a tenner off Amazon and I am still getting into other songs from it.

Regards S :P

Hi Matt

As I tend to collect a lot of Sonic material I also have :-

Dean & Britta - Variations EP

Dean & Britta - Sonic Souvenirs Album.

Both these have remixes by Sonic and the Variations EP also have excellent
mixes by Richard Formby , Scott Hardkiss, My Robot Friend etc.

I always look forward to the Sonic stuff but also dig all the other mixes and original material
by Dean & Britta. I always get a really nice relaxed , warm kinda vibe from their sound.

The first D&B album, L'Avventura, is really great. I didn't get into the second one much, though. I have to admit that I still mourn the loss of Luna. When I saw D&B live, they weren't nearly as good as Luna were.

Words We Used To Say EP is their favourite release of mine, it's all good (5 tracks). L'Avventura after that.

I thought Sonic Souvenirs was disappointing, I'm not very fond of a lot of the songs chosen by Sonic so the remixes don't do anything for me. Back Numbers is a mixed bag as well, maybe they need to change from Tony Visconti producing their albums.
