So far the title frames from "For A Few Dollars More" are the earliest use I've seen of "the font" but I never saw the Stooges connection until Sonic C. posted it.

Glad people still enjoy using it over the years. I converted it to OpenType if anyone is interested in that format also.

I wonder if it originated in Italy - I was subbing an Italian film recently and it popped up again - Unfortunately, I can't remember which one of the three it is - but it's on one of the 'Spirito Santo...' films (there are three of them) It's the exact same font.

No doubt inspired by Leone's masterpiece - it would be interesting to know if there are any sightings that predate For A Few Dollars More...
