Melkweg 6/2/88 (Performance) other sources?

It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

Melkweg 6/2/88 (Performance) other sources?

Post by bbbhenko »

i wonder if anyone knows if there exists a soundboard or audience recording of this show? i'd be very interested in hearing whether wwj really ends after the fade on the LP or if it was in fact longer... it seems most other shows from this era had significantly longer versions?

I was told that the guitar went off after the fade out in WWJ. A shame as that lovely little burst of squelchy wah-wah is sublime. Never heard another version but I'd be interested to hear the full thing!

I’ve said it before on this board I’d love to hear a warts and all "full" version of Performance.

I also read, (here I think) that Pete Kember faded out the end of Walkin’ with Jesus as he thought something was out of tune, I am pretty sure that most of us could probably live with that.

Rumour has it that it was Jason's xylophone that was out of tune...
