Sonic has been keeping busy with the production work.

have to say, Peaking Lights have lost me a little bit. I loved 936, liked Lucifer but the stuff since then has been far too 80s sounding for my tastes.

absolutely agree. I thought 936 was absolutely brilliant. I was a big champion of them, I was telling anyone who would listen. Lucifer had some great moments on it, I didn't mind the step up in production as it brought out the subtleties of their sound. Cosmic Logic completely lost me though, too clean and shiny. it sounds as if the new single is following in the same steps. i think her vocals work best for me when they are smothered in fx and dreamy.
with that being said i'm still hoping the new album will have a couple of blissed out gems.

yeah I'd agree with all of what you said there.
I'll stick check out the album to see if there's any gems that stand out.
