It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

Starfish, if you can't get it sorted, i'll do you a copy...

Ideally you should search for a BitTorrent client (edonkey does the trick!)
Once you have this, just save the .TORRENT file from the website above, and then open it with eDonkey. Your download should start...

i'm an idiot? at least I dont make a point and contradict myself in the same post. see how the blues should have turned out thread.

everybody? once again shonn, who is this "everybody" you mention?

funny. I never realized that if you are not a "musician" you had no right to post on this message board. even if you name your band after a Neil Diamond song.

hmm yeah fine, you got called out and thats that. just live with it.

go back to digging into dupsters looking for your pop culture. some of us would rather use and express our creative side, you obviusly don't seem to have one.

p/s- don't you realize that when you 'attempt' to be clever/dick by trying to diss the 'revolution' thing i speak of, you make an ass of yourself, and bands that had the same theory/feelings, like spacemen3, spiritualized and the MC5 to name a few, you ignorant dick!

once again brighten up!

think before you speak/type.

if you are curious about a beautiful noise, don't be foolish and assume something as idiotic as you did, just ask man. think first.

or you can check out our website, it's under construction at the moment, but you can read how we incorporated a cello player and found one of the most dynamic bassits that i have ever worked with. and how we are looking to add a horn section to our live line-up.

and since you obviuosly spent some time concerned with our band name, it actually comes from a friend who said the best way to describe our sound is 'a beautiful noise.'

don't be ignorant. rise above it. join the fucking revolution.

thats a pretty witty comment. not quite sure what "dumpster diving" has to do with being bi-polar tho.
there was loads of private emails between Sonic and myself. so you are wrong. it is between Sonic and myself. only initial comment and the apology were public.
i would have bet the farm you would be the only asshole to respond.
thats ok. i will take it like a man.

I've humoured you , and 'missing you' is something I hope 2 do lots more -tho' not perhaps in the sense you might like.
As long as u waltz around in a kids pink parka & nylon pink thong over your trousers I'm sure you'll be in ALL Kid Shlock's videos. please , dont keep me posted.

Apology accepted , tho' not really necessary . I know you did a lot for S3 back in the day , and I might'nt 've met Randall otherwise too , so - just good 2 hear from you Alan.
In general , I dont take ANY of this stuff personally -otherwise i'd have run home crying when I was 17 . I'm saving that for something worthwhile like the Apocalypse or something.........
your a bigger man than most for your ability to eat humble pie -shit , I eat it at least once a month ! haha

I gotta say . I really like Neil Diamond -including 'What a beautiful noise' . I'll forgive him 'Forever in blue jeans' ~& 'Sweet Caroline' for one of his 'Cracklin' Rosie's' anyday . Let alone his Brill building stuff for the Monkees et al.
isnt this incredibly OT. in both senses ?
If there was more sense & less bullshit on this site I suspect it'd
a) be a more stimulating visit
b) attract more folk , alienated by petty squabbling.

It's OK to slag me off . If it makes anyone feel better .
here's my email tho' - sonic@sonic-boom.info - then u can keep the site more tidy , maybe ?

It's not always this pissy, although in general this board is a little more uptight than, say, the Flaming Lips or Super Furry Animals boards. On the other hand, a lot of ther sites revolve around folks saying "I love the Flaming Lips, they're the greatest! What's your favorite song?!?". Occasionally there's interesting intelligent discussion here.

thank you, that is a great show

great share :P
wannabe poet fag hitchcock ?
nice................
you're a real charmer . I think the Soft Boys song on that set is dedicated to you .............'I wanna Destroyyyyyyyyyy yyyyyyou' , I'm sure the world can all do without your biggotted opinions. leastways , I know I can.
usually , the 'fag' shouters are the real closet cases who are uncomfortable with some of their feelings...............
Just for info , Robin would'nt b at all phased by yr comments . he's quite at home with himself -he's married actually , and he's way smart enough to know that without so called 'fags' he would'nt be quite the same person .

I have to say , its faintly ironic on this page too............
play nicely now !

robyn hitchcock has written one of the greatest loner album's of all time
in the form of i often dream of trains.

who even cares if someone is gay or straight or albinio or something .

it's the music that matter's it's the art that we apprieciate .

surely you can't be biggotted towards a guy who writes a song as haunting as cathedreal ...a song which can bring tears to your eyes ...... it has with me so i guess i'm a friggin fag .

some of you aint music fan's, some of you are cretins

ya know to be honest i have always had a somewhat blah feeling towards robyn hitchcock. only because when he was quite prominent in the states he was being lumped in with a ton of other really bad british acts (abc, soft cell, aztec camera, romeo void).

was he the one that was the big syd barrett fan or was that julian cope?

if someone could point me in the right direction for robyn hitchcock, i would be happy to check out his more intriguing works. the loner album somes quite interesting.

so thanks for the help, and about the 'fag' comments, i've heard that word for so long now it doesn't even phase me. it just shows ignorance.

i would definately not class hitchcock in the same league as any of those above british bands you mentioned . for suicide fans soft cell are laughable

he is much different to that 80's shite

yes he and julian cope have a syd barrett fascination , especially more so in hitchock's music ....... alot of his stuff is quite melancolic ,childlike and whimsical ..even sad at times .

i would definately start of with the often dream of trains LP ...... then move on to some more of his solo stuff with the egyptians.

for me the often dream of trains lp is a confused upsetting album , the sounds of a man looking back on his life even though he was about 25 then , it is the sounds of the autumn when the leaves hit the ground

his other band the soft boys are definately unique as it is more a psychedelic mod sound from the post punk decades of 1978 - 81 . underwater moonlight lp is the best start with their music.

One thing I find disgustingly amusing, mostly because I discovered this while watching American Psycho, is that Kimberly was responsible for Katrina and the Waves "I'm Walking on Sunshine" which I find annoying as fuck, innit :)

The Soft Boys and The Teardrop Explodes are must listens if you are interested in punk roots :)

alright, the album i seemed drawn to is the 'dream of trains' that sounds up my alley.

i do have a soft boys album, to be honest it's on vinyl and hasn't been played in years, one of those albums that was left behind by somebody.

thanks for all the input, and just so i don't feel i'm taking and not giving, last nite while cleaning out our rehearsal studio, i found a gem of an album that i thought i lost it for good. it's from a band called My Drug Hell, i think the album is titled that as well really interesting tunes, kinda a cleaner version of the cramps. the last track on the album is worth the price alone, it's basically them being rejected by every label in england.

again thanks, i think i found what i was looking for.

p/s- didn't mean to imply that i class robyn woth the rest of those crap bands, just that he had a single on the radio at the same time frame. haha, soft cell, what a joke.

Okay this is a real blast from the past I know but does anybody have this recording to share?
I've recently been getting into Robyn Hitchcock, and I'm extremely curious how a Sonic Boom/YLT/Hitchcock mashup would sound.
