S3 Live show list online?

I have a handful of live audio tapes of Spacemen 3, and I'd like to compare the incomplete setlists with known versions.

Does anyone maintain a list of the live Spacemen 3 gigs over the years?

BTW, I'm open to swaps of these shows for more live shows, if the quality is at least "very good." Mine are pretty decent audience recordings, fairly low gens I think.

Ta,

wow! that was fast... great site, too. thanks!

i'm pleased to see that my S3 ep on Glass is worth around £55. :)

edit:
well, all of my gig tapes appear to have the correct dates & locations.
now to fill in some blanks on the setlists & get them captured on the Mac.
after that, it could be bittorrent time, if i can figure that out.

Black Lodge,
I'll email you.

I'm listening to the 1988 Enger Forum show right now... captured from cassette, burned to CDR. Good stuff.

16/01/1988 Forum, Enger, Germany

I seem to be having trouble accessing Ian's site. Anyone know if it's still up?

Or does anyone know if there's a SP3 gig list up anywhere else? I want to check a few things with my collection of bootlegs.

Yeah, it was attacked, the hosting company dissabled it, and I have to jump through a few hoops to get it back, which I don't have the time for right now. I can post the gig list here if you like, although I know there are a few that are not quite right, as various people have emailed me over the years with corrections that I may even get around to incorporating eventually!

My list is not up to Ian's and has been offline for years. But better than nothing!

You can access via Wayback Machine:

Cheers, that helped me sort out a few things and weed out a couple of duplicates.

Hi all,

OK, there's one that' s bugging me. It claims to be from 04-10-1986 at the Astoria (RIP) in London.

Tracklist is as follows:

Things'll Never Be The Same
Mary Anne
O. D. Catastrophe

But this date doesn't appear on either of the gig lists and the Astoria seems to big a venue for them unless they were doing the support for someone at that stage in their careers.

It's a really weird version of TWNBTS, rather slow with a really big drone sound through it, which is possibly Pete playing the saz instead of guitar by the sound of it. It goes on for about 7 minutes and has a different groove to the "normal" version.

Can anyone confirm if date/venue are right?

There is a note in Ian's gig list for early 1987 which says re: a gig at the Markthalle in Hamburg "Well, it’s not impossible, but I have my doubts. The rest of the European dates are so close together, why go over one week early for one date? And why not mention it in the pre-publicity material?"

There is a bootleg in my collection from 7-1-1988 that purports to be from Spot Club in Kassel, Germany, which would account for the gap, meaning the Markthalle gig likely did happen, although they also played there on 7-5-1988, according to the list.

Is my bootleg dated wrongly?
