New book

can't confirm it, but hope its correct. I guess we'll find out next week when it hopefully lands on our doorsteps.
At least the cover now has both of them on it!
Talking about amazon, I just ordered the sundowner sessions by John Masoni and Sonic, but instead they sent me Classic FM's Romantic Classics or some other rubbish. I was not impressed!

The cover is stunningly awful. I'm one of the few that quite like that picture of Jason, but now that it's been tinted, he looks terrible. And as for Pete - I've never known him look bad in any picture I've ever seen... except this one!
Still, it's the contents that matter, and I've still got high hopes for them.
Love,
Ian

Indeed, my reading skills are slow due to decipheration into Spanish... but uh I'm getting there.Starfish wrote:unless you can't readBzaInSpace wrote:Gentlemen, you should never judge a book by it's cover.
I hope you are too buddy.
Maybe they should have a fucked up Terminator 2 mock uo with J & Sonic's face all melded together with sinew and metal....
But the cover... I'd rather just red it.
Brown Paper Bags
PS i'm joking... i'm better at reading than you are.
Much better.

a book review by Sonic Boom...
Spotted this when trying to find out if the book has actually been released. Sonic's review from a couple of months ago:
http://www.3ammagazine.com/litarchives/ ... ldren.html
He must come in for a bit of critiscm, he sounds a bit defensive in the review. He also says he'd love to work with Jason again...

BAH... typical Spiritualized-related delay, i'm sure we have been here before...
A pity as I was looking forward to seeing pictures of 'J - The Mullet Years' and Sonic's collection of Speak and Spell machines....
WHY the delay?
Did J get Eliot Roberts to pull a string or two?
Is MONEY the root of all evil?
Has everyone been misquoted, triggering LEGAL crap?
Or did the book get too close to the awful, hidden TRUTH?
That The Spacemen's DRUGS of choice was in fact... cider, nutmeg and aspirin?
And that the primary influence of 'PLAYING WITH FIRE' was neither Sun-Ra, Steve Reich or Charlie Jackson but.... ENYA?
Did Ian G undermine the whole thing with his, er 'exhaustive' list of facts and figures?
...or did all the moaning regarding the cover mean Erik has , er, 'thrown in the towel', so to speak?
Some of us here would like to think we were so important....
