Sonic torrent frenzy on dimeadozen

It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

Lineage: AUD-Tape-WAV-FLAC Level 8
Ripped from: JVC TD-W309 Double Cassette Deck to PC with Creative Labs Audigy 2 Sound Card.
AR3 Wizard to capture audio in WAV.
No EQ, nothing touched in the sound. I leave that for you if you want to improve sound. Feel free to do the improvements you want to do with the sound of this gig.

Setlist:

Close Your Eyes And You'll See
Feels Like I'm Slipping Away
Owsley
?
Transparent Radiation
The New Atlantis
When Tomorrow Hits
A Pox On You
The End

Got this tape in trade back in 1996-1998, don't remember exactly when.
Average-Good sound, a lot of low frequencies (a good EQ can improve a lot the sound).
Transparent Radiation includes a false start.
If anyone can recognize the fourth song (that called ? here in my setlist) would be nice. Please let me know.
My personal favourite is Owsley. Also the version of "The End" is recommended.

Free to share this bootleg and to convert it to the format you like!
I ask to seed this torrent as much as it possible!
And of course DON'T SALE THIS BOOTLEG!!! It is just for trading...
Support the band buying their official albums! I got a lot of SP3/SPZ/Spectrum official albums in original CD's! Do the same!

No setlist! Only a large ambient-drone show!

Got this tape in trade back in 1996-1998, don't remember exactly when.
Very good sound. For those who does not know EAR, it was the next project of Sonic Boom after Spectrum. It is completely instrumental, could be clasify as space music, ambient, drone, whatever you can say.
If you like the style you will love EAR. I think this Sonic Boom project is a bix complex and hard to assimilate, even enjoy it; however, when you really feel and understand EAR, you simply will want to listen all the releases from this project. I like EAR very much and have almost all the official releases on original cd's (not pirated!).

Instrumental (Bo Diddley Jam)

Got this tape in trade back in 1996-1998, don't remember exactly when.
Here is the first Spacemen 3 bootleg for DIME people after some petitions. Hope you like it.
Average to decent sound. A very few moments of up and downs in speed of the tape for who knows why. I received the concert in that way ¬¬
A very good gig, my personal favourite is Suicide, nice version. It is a pity that is cut in 2 parts because 45 minutes a side tape limitation.
Don't forget to listen at the beginning when Sonic Boom says his classic "Thanks for coming" and a guy from audience replies him with a "Thank you, thanks for coming".

Good sound. This one is pretty better than the Subterranean gig I posted yesterday, at least in the sound side, which is pretty stable. My personal favourite is "Revolution", an excellent performance of the song. Also "Sweet Running Water" or Suicide cover "Che" are highly recommended.

Average sound. In Revolution sounds simply is pathetic with ups and downs in sound (pretty unbearable) but for a fan everything is appreciated. This terrible sound goes on until Call The Doctor is 1 minute or 2. The rest of the bootleg is average sound, but considering the fact that Spectrum bootlegs are really hard to find, I think it is worth. Anyway, I will upload more gigs when I find them, although I don't have a lot them.
My personal favourite is "When Tomorrow Hits". Also "Sweet Running Water" is very nice.

Owsley
Delia Derbyshire
Instrumental
Transparent Radiation
The New Atlantis - incomplete
When Tomorrow Hits
A Pox On You

Got this tape in trade back in 1996-1998, don't remember exactly when.
Average sound and the sound is a bit low but still listenable and enjoyable.
Transparent Radiation includes a false start, as well as other songs like "A Pox on You".
Also I must note that the bootleg should include "The End" as the last song. In fact, my tape setlist has the title but the song is not there, so probably this gig is incomplete.
A note from the person who sent me this tape:

"Hey DJ Pico!!
Thanks a lot, here's the Spectrum Live In Toronto. The show was quite weird. Sonic stopped 2 or 3 songs in the middle of them. He seemed very "Fascist" (Dont't know what he was trying to say) and quite intimidating. Anyway, I'd still like that Stereolab show from DC when I get something else to trade"

My personal favourite is A Pox on You, with the false start included.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I am seeing that there is a lot of people only leeching my concerts and not seeding after they complete the download. Only 17 seeders when a bootleg has been snatched 93 times only after 36 hours a second seed appears (first person that download the complete bootleg from me) is just not good. And I am one of those 17! This really pisses me off, so please SHARE AFTER YOU COMPLETE YOUR DOWNLOADS!!! MORE PEOPLE WANT TO LISTEN THE BOOTLEG SO HAVE RESPECT!!!

Excellent sound and great performance. Seems a SBD recording or a high quality AUD.
This is one of the best Spiritualized bootlegs that I have, the only bad thing on this gig is that Take Your Time is incomplete.

I am always up for a trade via megaupload

I could possibly upload these to Megaupload or Yousendit or something, but i'd have to convert to MP3 from the original FLAC files as it would take a fuckin age to upload the FLAC files.

If people are happy to have the MP3s uploaded (i don't encode to MP3 using anything less than 192kbs) i'll see what i can do...

I could also share them via Soulseek if people have access to that too...

Thanks for the yousendit links - i missed out on the original dimeadozen downloads.

Speaking of which, here's another:

http://www.dimeadozen.org/torrents-deta ... ?id=142226

I believe I seeded this back about '05. A fine sounding set and great performance to compliment the sudden tide of Spacemen 3 fathered bands being seeded right now. It came from silvers, bought about '98, and is a gem in the small field of soundboard or broadcast-quality shows available from J Spaceman & Company. There are no changes from the original seed. Artwork (sparse) is included. My upload is capped at about 44k: please be patient and help seed when you're done...

No setlist! Only a large, very large ambient-drone show (E.A.R. style).

Got this tape in trade back in 1996-1998, don't remember exactly when.
Excellent sound for me, anyway listen to the sample before. An hypnotic show from the god, Mr. Boom.
Another real gem!!! It is not easy to get a Sonic Boom bootleg these days.

Since there is only one song, all the show is impressive. It deserves a download!

Another thing to add is the nice announcer... this show also rocks! If you liked the London show from 1994 I posted last week, you will love this one

IMPORTANT NOTE: I am seeing that there is a lot of people only leeching my concerts and not seeding after they complete the download. Very good to excellent sound. The audience is almost unlistenable so I guess this is a SBD recording.
Things'll Never Be The Same and Take Me To The Other Side are played almost joined.
Che, which is a Suicide cover, is not a frequent song on the live performances. This is a very good one!

My personal favourite is Che. This gig rocks!

Lonely Avenue
The World Is Dying
Help Me Please
Pretty Baby
Rock'n'roll Is Killing My Life
If I Should Die

Got this tape in trade back in 1996-1998, don't remember exactly when.
Average-good sound, very listenable and enjoyable.
An early gig of Sonic Boom before Spectrum era. Sonic Boom is the master brain (for me) of Spacemen 3, if you don't know him.
This is a real gem, it is not easy to get a Sonic Boom bootleg these days.

My personal favourite is If I Should Die. Rock'n'roll Is Killing My Life (Suicide cover) is also very recommended.

IMPORTANT NOTE: I am seeing that there is a lot of people only leeching my concerts and not seeding after they complete the download. Only 17 seeders when a bootleg has been snatched 93 times is just not good. This really pisses me off, so please SHARE AFTER YOU COMPLETE YOUR DOWNLOADS!!! MORE PEOPLE WANT TO LISTEN THE BOOTLEG SO HAVE RESPECT!!!

Free to share this bootleg and to convert it to the format you like!
I ask to seed this torrent as much as it possible! At least 1-2 days!!
And of course DON'T SALE THIS BOOTLEG!!! It is just for trading...
Support the band buying their official albums! I got a lot of SP3/SPZ/Spectrum official albums in original CD's! Do the same!
