How the blues should've turned out ...

It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

How the blues should've turned out ...

Post by PapaLazarou »

hi!

I've been looking for this cd for a while now :)
I've heard the 128 kbps, I've seen the unseeded flac torrent, but I very much would like to own it. I'm hoping there's someone who's got tired of listening to it, it's been years now, and like to sell it to me ... ? I'd love (LOVE) to have it. I emailed Mr Kember about it a few times, but alas no response.

kind regards,
M.

I'd say the lucky few who got actual copies and spent what they did, and waited....and waited.... on them...are gonna hold on to them...though you never know.

Pete's email has been really unreliable lately. I'd try contacting him through his MySpace page or his management - email is littlemissmanagement@hotmail.co.uk.

These CDs are worth getting hold of if you can find them...

Good luck with that.

I would keep an eye on Ebay, there's a chance that a collector might become hard up for cash. But I think that the only folks who shelled out for this are hardcore fans.

I remember there being a HUGE thread on it. It's a release a bunch of us bought from sonic that had 2 CDRs of unreleased stuff -- some of it being really good, some of it just OK. The best track on it in my opinion is "These Blues", which now appears on DJ Tones.

Tracklisting:

cd 1
T.V. Eye '84
Blow My Top '84
Funhouse '84
By The River '84
Hey Man '85
Things'll Never Be The Same '85
Ode To Street Hassle '86
Little Doll '86
Mary-Anne '86
2.35 '87
Rollercoaster '86

cd 2
Walkin' With Jesus '87
Transparent Radiation '87
Starship '87
O.D. Catastrophe '87
Modulated 2 Tone '87
Song No 5 '87
What U Needed Me To Be '88
Tremelo Experiment w/ Drum Machine '87
These Blues '89
Song No 7 '89
Transparent Radiation '87

I think it's an amazing collection but then I'm likely to be biased as I helped compile it. For me Tremelo Experiment is the weak point - it's sort of interesting but that's about it. Pete really wanted it included and I really wanted These Blues so we had a stand off and agreed to both.

The heavy drones of No. 5 and But You Suck (listed here as Song No. 7) are immense. I doubt you'd find one for sale but I bet it's all on Soulseek etc.

Another common problem. Only the artwork for 1 can be found on the internet. I don't have a scanner, but I'm sure some kind soul here might scan the second.

(but it's not that big of a deal, since the difference between the artwork is a "2" instead of a "1")
