Spectrum alumni

It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

Spectrum alumni

Post by plastic37 »

I'm not plugging, I'm not providing a link to it,
i'm not even gonna say which ex member it is...
but a quick google on DC Fontana will take you to an ex members current band.

One track on their new album was demoed with a heavenly spacemen feel. The released version blows much of that away but the soul is still there.

Hope this is cool

PS
Thanks to the moderators for allowing this message to remain.
It is interesting for us all to take the time and see "what they did next",

especially as in this case where the musician in question take his Spacemen influences into a completely different territory whilst retaining a certain something of what i know to be an absolutely huge part of his musical development.

Yeah, the stuff on their myspace page is really wretched.

The text on the official www page is utter shite too. If it were a tad worse then they could claim to be "Ironic" or "post-modern" or somesuch......tedious really.

Didn't enjoy all the excerpts but i certainly thought there was enough good, funky tunes, plus the sitar one, to warrant further investigation.
