Hi guys
Looking for some tips here - we're having our 4 month old christened in 3 weeks. We've chosen the hymns we want and can have something for the choir to sing in the middle of the service. I'm not too sure how flexible they are with anything outside the norm, but on the off chance we can do something a little different, does anyone have any suggestions?
All I can think of at the moment is Bridge Over Troubled Water.
Many thanks in advance.

Dylan's Forever Young? There's a great, simple arrangement in the demo on the Biograph box set.

Re: Christening
Thanks for these first two suggestions - not actually familiar with either so I'll check out the youtube link and find one for Dylan. Guess it needs to be something fairly easy and familiar though for the choir to learn and I'm also aware of not alienating a normal Sunday morning congregation too as they'll be there in addition to our guests!!

Since I laid my burden down
Burden down Lord
Since I laid my burden down
Burden down Lord, burden down Lord
Since I laid my burden down
No more sickness, no more sorrow
Since I laid my burden down
No more sickness, no more sorrow
Since I laid my burden down
I’m going home to live with Jesus
Since I laid my burden down
I’m going home to live with Jesus
Since I laid my burden down
I’m goin’ shake glad hands with the angels
Since I laid my burden down
I’m goin’ shake glad hands with the angels
Since I laid my burden down

Forever Young
May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young
May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young
May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
May your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
Forever young, forever young
May you stay forever young
