Forum App/Mobile version??
any thoughts on this?
tbf the site works fine as is, just w/the small font & links it can be a little awkward.
& I'm sure there's plenty of iPhone/android users on here who could benefit slightly??
& while I'm pitching unnecessary ideas, how abouts changing 'Spiritualized+' to 'Spiritualized?'??

Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
there probably is a mod that can be installed which allows you to use a mobile app. i have a mod installed on my scream forum which uses simple machine forum that makes it viewable with android and iphone using tapatalk phone app. i don't think anyone uses it other than me though!

Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
Hey,
the idea is not new to us. Actually i am thinking about registering for a tapatalk account for our forum since months now.
But we are also discussing some other ideas at the moment, so once we know which way we will choose in the future a mobile version will come for sure
@burningwheel: There are tons of forums and users using tapatalk. "Bad" thing is that the client for the mobile costs money, the server registration is free (for small use...the pro versions costs real money - up to 3000$ i think).
Stay tuned.

Really, really sorry about keeping you waiting for a year. We might upgrade in time for the next album.

Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
Hey, i will have a look into it. It seems to be a bit more complicated than i though - but should work.
Sadly i reinstalled my home-pc recently and forgot to save my server installations (including my test message board) so it will take at least until the weekend until i can test the installation of the Tapatalk software.
But i think we are ready to go - mobile universe, here we come

Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
Ok, being the total I.T. numbskull that I am, how do I go about using this whole new forum mobile shenanigans? What do I have to do differently to how I used to just access the forum on my mobile in exactly the same way as I would on my laptop or iPad?

Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
you need an app such as tapatalk or a free alternative. Just go to your iphone or android marketplace and do some searching. Only took me a minute to find one and set it up this morning.
You'll find threads load quicker and are formatted better to read on a small screen.

Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
Ah-hah. I'm doing it from my phone as well. Great job!
Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
Hi, can anyone talk me through this? It seems"tapatalk" is only for iPhones? I looked up"combo
Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
Ok, sorry, I looked up "Convo"as mentioned but just got overwhelmed. I have this Android phone, it's tricky, am confused. Thank you.
Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
Ok, as you may noticed the board was moved to a new server. The URL changed too.
Since i just use tapatalk (you will have to pay around $2 for it) i needed to delete my old bookmark and do a search and add again. After this i can use tapatalk again.
Tapatalk is available for all mobile devices. The handling is easy - you search for "spiritualized" and only this site should come up (at the moment). It will be added from tapatalk for you. The handling is intuitive.
I may try Convo as an app on android. But honestly i can't give support to all those mobile apps - the developers of them will have to do.

Works fine using Convo on my SGS3.
It's nice to be liked,
But it's better by far to get paid.

Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
Anyone else having trouble with tapatalk mobile app?
Mine hasn't worked for months.
I've done the troubleshooting things but still no go.
It connects no problem to other sites using tapatalk.. but I can only get so much entertainment out of the Diamond David Lee Roth Army

Hi Ro, maybe try deleting and reinstalling the Tapatalk app, certainly works over here and is a lifesaver at times.

Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
When I was bedridden most of the day there for the last 2+ months, I used my IPhone without any extra device or app, (sometimes I used a Magnifying Glass), but that was the best I could do. If I had posted anything on any given day whilst "prone", I did go to my study long enough to fix misspelled words and that sort of thing.
Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
Hi guys, and thank you.
Semi, yah that's what I've been doing but it's very difficult to navigate.
The app is so much easier.
BZA, I'd try that but it's nothing a Q-tip can't fix
NightWash, thanks for all your good work.. It may be something like that because it still works fine for other forums, and I've cleared the cache and everything several times.. still won't connect.
(It's a Huawei prism made for T-Mobile. Not a super phone)

Re: Forum App/Mobile version??
Ok, here is the story...since the plugin is really broken, i removed it as far as i could. "Sadly" it still seems to work which makes me wonder a bit. I won't reinstall it at the moment.
There will be a new version of the board software coming out in the next 2 or 3 months...the plugin system is completely different there. Tapatalk will release an extension for the software once it is released.
I will do a "clean" installation of the forum once the software is released and then upgrade the board. At the moment i am testing it and it looks not too bad. Sure there are some problems and i can't say if it is the our current board configuration or the release candidate i am testing with. But i am sure it will work out.

Thank you !
I don't understand a word of it, but you clearly know what you are doing, and I'm very grateful.
