A Field In England

Post by johnnyboy »

New film by the chap who made Kill List. I reckon it could appeal to quite a few folk on here. Pretty good concept behind the films release as it's hitting all media types on the same day - cinema, tv, dvd, blah blah. It's on Film 4 Friday night

oh right , never knew it was doing evry medium release on the same day , must set the SKY+ for this , although it looked from small clips I saw that it was made on a shoe string , not saying that's bad.

I watched it last night. Not sure my head was in the right place for it and to be honest Im still non the wiser.
From what I can recall its a fairly claustrophobic film, psychologically challenging for the cast and viewers alike. but some of the word play and the overall performances from the cast were top draw. Bit of a head f**k though

Just made plans to go see this at the Denver Film Festival next weekend. Looking forward to it. Likely doing back to back films with Doomsdays first then A Field in England second and a quick stop to the new Jagged Mountain Brewery inbetween.
