I don't like asking for this but...
My hard drive crashed last week with 1TB of music on it.
Pretty much my entire collection of music was on this.
I went to the Geek Squad but it's absolutely astronomical what they want to fix it.
So I have to start again from nothing.
There are a few shows I have backed up on disk, but I would so much appreciate if anyone can dropbox these few shows that I can not be without:
2001-10-11 - Hammersmith Apollo, London, England
2004-08-01 - Royal Festival Hall, London, England
2007-11-19 - Boston MFA, Boston, MA
2010-07-30 - Radio City Music Hall, New York City, NY
There are a few others, but those are ones that are dear to me.
Thankfully I have a few 1997's and 1993's on disk, and the London School of Economics show somewhere.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Looking for a few shows...

as MP3 -- was there a flac version? That excellent guy from Boston had posted it on his blog that I can no longer recall the name of. I can't imagine why I didn't record that one... Maybe I was lazy and just enjoyed his version - could be on a hard drive.

Sorry to hear about your hard-drive by the way Gd/Gf... not good. Have you read anything about the 'freezer technique' that can apparently resurrect the unit for long enough to get the essentials off? I haven't tried it with mine as supposedly it either works or fucks it forever - I'm keeping mine in the vain hope that future technology will extract stuff off it easier and for far less than the going rates for data recovery...
Lastly, by all means ask away for any shows you no longer have. I didn't want to ask either but I was overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity on here. Awesome!

Re: Looking for a few shows...
Much thanks.
Can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
I was so pissed when it happened.
Now I'm just accepting it.
Most of what's on it can be replaced (music wise).
But I had an extensive live collection of Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic and Spiritualized which is a little more difficult.
I'm chalking it up as, well, at least I got to listen to these for some time.
Now it's time to move on.
I feel like Tyler Durden and am starting again from nothing.
Seriously though, thanks for posting these.
I really need them in my ears.

Re: Looking for a few shows...
may i suggest Crashplan for online backups, it's very inexpensive (around $5/month) for unlimited data.
