Re: Leonard Cohen dies aged 82.
I am very saddened to read of this. I know so many of those that each of us has some connection to, especially from earlier times are as we, aging everyday. The list sadly has grown and will naturally continue. The last 2 years have seemed especially tough.

Re: Leonard Cohen dies aged 82.
i feel like i've just lost my best friend and teacher
“You're not Dostoevsky,' said the citizeness
'Well, who knows, who knows,' he replied.
'Dostoevsky's dead,' said the citizeness, but somehow not very confidently.
'I protest!' Behemoth exclaimed hotly. 'Dostoevsky is immortal!”

I didn't see that coming. What a loss - a genuine great.

Re: Leonard Cohen dies aged 82.
There are stories that
You know will always come
But you pray that they never do
And then one morning
With the sun
You find the moon set with you
My greatest teacher
My closest friend
Who taught me about
Myself and the world
The broken hallelujah
That rose above Calvary
My companion in the darkness
Of even the brightest day
The wit that cut through the gloom
The soul so noble
That cannot be forgotten
Rest in peace, you song is done
Your immortal words echo alone
Filling every valley and mountain
Giving life to the stone
Thank you for your heart
Thank you for your love
Thank you for the joy and awe
I felt every time I heard your name
I miss you beyond language
And I always will
I know rest has come
I know your burden was heavy
And reunited with the Lord
Your true song has just begun
For Leonard Cohen 11/11/16
You know will always come

I really can't even put into words how this made me feel and still does. My all-time hero and inspiration.
Re: Leonard Cohen dies aged 82.
I just started exploring Cohen's work and bought his new album, which I somberly listened to last night. It's a wonderful record. I have more listening to do. RIP, Leonard.
