Maybe of interest to some around here (particularly the jazzers!).
Rich Manchin ( Soulsavers ) and Duke Garwood have roped in Doggen, Thighpaulsandra and Ray Dickaty, amongst others, to come up with this new album.
Had a cursory listen and there's enough there to pique my interest into settling down with it at a later date.

was listening to this on my walk into work this AM, very similar to Do Make Say Think and Grails without the hooks; bass player very much holding it together.
maybe a bit of Bitches Brew era Miles in there too.
solid 6/10 from me.

This sounds right up my street on the face of it.. will investigate further.

Interesting comment about the bass player. I was recommending this LP to someone else and described it as being a bit similar to Comet Is Coming but benefiting from a bass player. I’m more inclined to mark it somewhere between 7 and 8 out of 10.freddiehubbard wrote: ↑Tue Jul 23, 2019 9:21 am was listening to this on my walk into work this AM, very similar to Do Make Say Think and Grails without the hooks; bass player very much holding it together.

I thought it was pretty boring. Sounded less like jazz, more like a soundtrack to a documentary or something.

Listened to a track and rather liked it. I can definitely hear the Do Make Say Think comparison. if someone told me it was the new DMST I would almost believe them. something about that rolling beat.
