Intervention Records possibly interested in reissuing LAG on vinyl

Post by beaker73 »

Shane, the owner of Intervention Records, has expressed interest in reissuing Ladies and Gentlemen on his lable. Now, if you don’t know IR, check out their brilliant reissues on vinyl of Joe Jackson albums, The Flying Burrito bros or Matthew Sweet. Shane is all about doing stuff AAA and uses top mastering engineers like Kevin Gray and Ryan K Smith. The stuff they put put sounds absolutley fenomenal.
Anyhow, Shane posts on the Steve hoffman forum (an ‘audiophile’ forum) and posted this after numerous request to do LAG:
“So ok, Casey James sent me his Audio Art LAGWAFIS, and OMG listening to this on my big rig (not headphones) this album BLEW MY MIND!

I'm transformed. An amazing, dense symphony of sound and lyrics.

How can I get in touch with J Spaceman?

No promises, these things are a winding road. But I'm interested.

I'm also after an Audio Arts pressing if anyone comes across one.”

I am sort of excited. How cool would it be have a real quality vinyl edition of this album? Is there any way we can help Shane?

I just copied and pasted your message and emailed Jason.
I will let you know if he responds.
If possible it would be fantastic.
I couldn't find the post on the Steve Hoffman Forum. Can you send me the link?

I just ordered the Gene Clark- White Light LP from them.

This would be the best version of L&G ever.

I've got the Intervention version of Murray Head's Nigel Lived - they really are labours of love with no corners cut in sound or packaging...

I have been messaging back and forth with Shane from IR.
Lets hope this can be done.

A reissue of l.g.melodies and pure phase would be even better, both in desperate need of a proper mastered vinyl release :D
