Monster Magnet
I've been listening to a live version of Nod Scene a lot recently. I searched this out after someone on here recommeded it as a bit of a gem! Haven't heard any album versions, but this live one is a fuckin KILLER version.
Anyways, i'm trying to see if i can get the rest of the live album its from. One i have seems to be from an album called "Spaceship" or something like that. Anyone know anything about it? Boot? Official live album?
The track i have is excellent quality and does sound like its maybe from an official release, but it could be a soundboard copy or something. i dunno.
Anyways, if someone can enlighten me to this, i'd appreciate it!
PS
Saw Slipstream for the first time last week and they were AWESOME. For two guys, they can make a helluva sound! Johnny is one of the greatest drummers i've ever seen! Big thanks to Will/Mark/Johnny/Pat Fish for making my weekend!

I saw them 3 times. very entertaining. a couple really early Spine Of God shows in NYC. One at some small club you had to walk down a flight of stairs to and one in a converted bank.
Also saw them open for Swervedriver and Soundgarden. That was a waste. 25 minute set.
The NYC shows were great though.

The Twin Earth ep has a live version of Nod Scene. Must have lp's are Spine of God (remastered), Superjudge and Dopes to Infinity. Dave Wyndorf is incredible live. Seen 'em 3x over the last many years. They're currently working (or supposed to be) on a new album that's been delayed (along with a delayed European tour) due to Dave's serious health problems earlier this year. He almost checked outta here.
I think I feel it coming on
i own the Twin Earth 7" (UK) and the b-side is Nod Scene (live).
"recorded live by Joseph James at The Fox Theatre in Boulder, CO on March 14, 1993" is the info given.
i've got a handful of live shows (mostly lossless) if anyone wants to swap.
this session is especially good:
BBC Radio One Broadcast, 1993-10-22
01. Murder
02. Superjudge
03. Freakshop USA
04. Dinosaur Vacume
Total time: 19:09

God Unknown are releasing Test Patterns Vol.1, featuring a new John Mcbain remix of the Tab track and the original 1988 demo of same on black vinyl. There is also a deluxe Rough Trade version which has a different sleeve, coloured vinyl and 4 postcards. Both have gatefold sleeve and blotter insert.

That was a little too much to resist. I love that era of MM.
There's a live recording of a gig in Holland where Dave Wyndorf lost his voice so they did these largely Tab based jams instead of a standard set, must be 91. A tad lo fi but one hell of a performance.
