Jesus. Shocking. I'd only recently heard she was ill. A truly wonderful vocalist.

Met her and Alan a couple of times many years ago. Such beautiful people. She brought so much beauty to this world.

This is terrible news. Saw Low at St George's Church in Brighton in April this year. The most uplifting event of my year. RIP Mimi Parker and Condolences to Alan, friends and family. Love and peace. X

Total shock to me. Didn't know she was ill. I was thinking a few days ago, will we be hearing a lot of 'Just Like Christmas' on the TV soon? I remember one year a few years back it almost seemed to have become mainstream it was used that much. Obviously not a marker of their overall sound but still one of the few Christmas songs you'll be happy to hear at any time of year. RIP Mimi.

I don't normally post in RIP threads - no-one cares what I think at the end of the day - but the passing of this wonderful artist and human being (at my age) is truly heartbreaking to me.

I absolutely adore Low. A real light has gone out in my musical life.

Godspeed Mimi.

I still can't really find the words to add to my initial posts online, pasted below. It's been a hard few months, but she's not suffering anymore. Alan is holding up and appreciates all the love for Mim being shared. I couldn't make the funeral but I hear it was a beautiful occasion in her honour as it should be...

My heart is broken but the light Mimi gave me shines bright. She touched so many people around the world and she’ll be remembered forever. I first met her back in 2007 just before the release of Drums & Guns, and the warmth and kindness she showed me then was typical of the Mimi I got to know over the years since. Always kind and welcoming, supremely talented with a truly golden voice, and funny enough to be a stand up comedian. She felt like family to me, and I cherish every memory. From New York to Coventry to Antwerp to Tijuana. Sheffield to Paris. Barcelona, Los Angeles, London, Dublin… there seems few places I can go where I won’t have a memory attached.

Tell your friends you love them. I’ll miss her so much. ❤️

Mimi Parker forever x
