Great bass player in a very influential band in my life and I'm sure in a lot of people's lives. No matter what you think of Morrissey, you cannot take away the wonderful music that The Smiths produced in such a short window.
RIP Andy Rourke.

Re: Andy Rourke RIP
Huh ... didn't know he passed away ? Often overlooked in the Smiths with Morrissey and Johnny Marr. R.I.P.
Re: Andy Rourke RIP
Another one lost to cancer. Marvelous bass player. I had the pleasure of seeing The Smiths in 1984 and 1985 when he was at the peak of his powers. RIP.
Re: Andy Rourke RIP
No one ever mentions just how powerful The Smiths were as a live band. I saw the at least 3 times and it always amazed me just how much they blew me away live. Very much a band driven by the rhythm section. Listening to that Live in Boston CD which is part of the Queen Is Dead box set. Stunning.
Sleep well Andy.
