The link doesn't work for me. Is it a UK only thing?

What a sad state of affairs.

Martin was an exceptional musician and a true professional - look how quickly he stood in for The Charlatans after the death of Rob Collins when supporting Oasis at Knebworth.

RIP

Thank you. Disappointing lecture. After reading Bobby's memories, this article shines a very different light upon the man

Very good article in The Telegraph
How Martin Duffy helped make Primal Scream famous - and died penniless.

It’s a grim read indeed no question, always two sides to a story though

This is an appalling state of affairs.
Should I be surprised? I dunno, but no commenting by the band and then shutting down all the fan/ex fan comments across their social media really indicates a bunch of shameless self serving lowlifes whose back catalogue now smells very fishy… if you liked that sort of thing in the first place of course!

Gillespie always struck me as an unpleasant chancer who rode on the coattails of McGee's money, Weatherall, Kevin Shields etc so it's hardly a surprise. Interesting to hear on Twitter from one guy who produced and played guitar on Higher than the Sun slate both the song and the band (minus Duffy). Needless to say, he wasn't credited or paid royalties for his performance.

Amusingly timely that they've whored Screamadelica out yet again- this time for an M&S advert. Boy, did they permanently muzak the life out of that album. Lighthouse Family for hipsters. They've been a joke way longer than they were ever good. Country Guuuurl!
