Thanks. A bit of further investigation reveals the same label is also releasing Live In Koln: https://www.fantastiquehq.com/shop/spac ... n-koln-lp/

Re: Revolution Or Heroin LP
Does this have audio samples between tracks or have I imagined this? And yes it’s ridiculously pricey
Re: Revolution Or Heroin LP
You didn't imagine it No idea where the samples are from though.

Re: Revolution Or Heroin LP
Are there any distros or shops who have both of those new live albums on sale? Looking for getting both at once.
Re: Revolution Or Heroin LP
Given what happened with the Geneva LP, I wonder if these are going down the same path?
Shipping date was supposed to be April - yet both sites are still listing them as a pre-order. The sketchy part is that it's only two web stores - and there's no listing or mention over on Discogs (which is usually quite sharp when it comes to new releases) Juno is quite established and reputable, the label itself appears to be Polish. They could be trying their hand and hoping the copyright police aren't as pro-active there?
It looks more like they were announced and then stopped dead in their tracks once (I'm guessing) Palmer and co. got wind of the release, exactly like the New Morning Geneva live LP from years back. That one's been blocked and declared an 'unofficial' release for quite some time. I mean the original LP releases, not the later, presumably authorised, CDs that you can still get now.
Either way, I'm curious to see if these ever see the light of day? I've no interest in getting them (I already have Revolution or Heroin on CD) and Koln, well - maybe... but I've got the web downloads (or Flacs) here somewhere, and no doubt that's their source. So, kind of pointless, unless you really just want a shiny vinyl copy.

Re: Revolution Or Heroin LP
The irony, of course, is that the "unauthorized" original LP release of the New Morning album was personally prepared by Sonic for release by Mental Groove, while no band member had anything to do with the "authorized" CD version on Space Age which even plagiarized Sonic's liner notes.catweazel wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 12:12 pm Given what happened with the Geneva LP, I wonder if these are going down the same path?

Re: Revolution Or Heroin LP
Apparently its been delayed/held up. Juno still waiting for copies to arrive.
Re: Revolution Or Heroin LP
There are pics of those records in Facebook, where people share their recent vinyl scores. I guess those are out.

Re: Revolution Or Heroin LP
anyone more info about the shows on these recordings? I assume they have done the rounds as bootlegs before.
is this the Koln one?- 1988 https://www.discogs.com/release/9779439 ... %B6ln-1988
interesting how some Sound of Confusion songs were still in the set.
Revolution or Heroin is '87 right?

Re: Revolution Or Heroin LP
Both listed on Discogs and both listed as "unofficial" - which confirms what I posted above.
Probably flac or mp3 files dumped on vinyl. I doubt they tracked down two 'master tapes' (i.e. Camden Town day-glo orange sleeved bootleg audio cassettes from circa 1989 recorded on the cheapest tapes the vendor could find) The dates are too geographically distant to be from the same taper. They prob just scoured the web (probably this forum in the past) for best sources and used them.
Unless I'm missing something? This is what we already have in digital form pressed on to vinyl, for those so inclined. Either way, the same shit as Space Age - none of these releases are sanctioned by the artists who perform on them and I'm guessing they don't see a penny or a cent from the sales. Oh, and 58 euros a pop including postage from Juno is nothing short of daylight robbery. I'm getting a real the blind robbing from the blind feeling about these.
Aside from all that, great releases!

Re: Revolution Or Heroin LP
yeah you make a good case there. think I might give them a miss
Re: Revolution Or Heroin LP
The SpaceAge CD was mastered from the Mental Groove LP, too, IIRC.BessieBoporBach wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 6:18 pmThe irony, of course, is that the "unauthorized" original LP release of the New Morning album was personally prepared by Sonic for release by Mental Groove, while no band member had anything to do with the "authorized" CD version on Space Age which even plagiarized Sonic's liner notes.catweazel wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 12:12 pm Given what happened with the Geneva LP, I wonder if these are going down the same path?

My RoH LP has shipped apparently. 2 months late.
