Bitter Wish (ex Bardo Pond)

Post by TheWarmth »

One of my bands played a gig a week ago with a newish band called Bitter Wish that features two ex members of Bardo Pond. They were incredible. I know there are some BP fans on here. I was able to grab Bitter Wish's brand new full length, which unfortunately is not yet on their Bandcamp page, but they have some other stuff. I do, however, have a download code from the vinyl version of the new album. If anyone wants it, hit me up.

Cheers, never heard of them but will definitely check them out.

While the band doesn't stray far from its Bardo Pond and Kohoutek roots, they incorporate more repetition and minimalism into their fuzzy vibe :)

Hopefully not the end. According to Wiki it seems that the Bass guitarist, Clint Takeda who was there at the beginning and came up with the band name is playing with Bitter Wish. Wether he's actually left is another thing. The remaining original musicians are still listed. It would be a sad day if Bardo Pond finish. Maybe someone can throw some further light.🤞

thanks for the info, I am hopeful the band haven't actually split even if just the bass player has left.

As an aside, was recently looking on youtube for some Bardo Pond live sets, there's a surprising number of professionally recorded ones. including this one with their kind of cover of Amen!

I definitely got the impression when talking to the guys that Bardo Pond is now done. I found the Bandcamp page for the Bitter Wish album that just came out. It's really great:
