Crickey, has it been already 30 years since the release of Oasis' " What's the Story Morning Glory " ??? Seems like just 10 years ago or so.

8am Tuesday then.

10 Nights in Manchester, 10 in London.

Guess Noel Gallagher finally realised that his audience were balding 50+year old OCS fans and that Liam had all the kids.

I think it's more to do with Noel's recent divorce settlement.

You mean he's skint ? I can't imagine with the royalties flowing in from their back catalogue.

Rumours of Heaton Park and possibly (10) nights in Wembley Stadium, next year's Glastonbury and possibly a World Tour have been floated ...

I'm sure it'll be the original lineup of Tony McCarroll," Bonehead " and " Guigsy " instead of Gem and Andy Bell. Bell is now reunited in Ride.

£20 million and a mansion gone to the ex apparently. No chance it'll be the original lineup. Maybe Bonehead (doubtful though i imagine), but certainly not the other two.

No chance for Tony McCarroll.

What's the betting they fall out and cancel it all in a few months time...

well i never. I thought this was more BS as the reunion rumours seem to swirl regularly (particularly when they have a new solo record to flog).

no interest in going myself even though I've been known to defend the band a little in the past.

to me it just brings home that all bets are off now- pretty much any band could potentially reform, no matter how hard members have fallen out before.
also, it better not mean that Andy puts Ride on ice for this. I would be raging!

My lad is a massive Oasis fan so he's over the moon - at 17 he's obviously never had the chance to see them previously, so this is a one-off moment for him.

Pressure is on me to come up with a pair of Wembley tickets then!!

I loved them back in the day, went to Knebworth, even saw them at the Town & Country Club on their second or third London date, but not sure I'd have bothered if it hadn't been for the lad's keenness.

Saw them Stateside back in the day in S.F. during the " Here's the Story ... and Be Here Now " tours. The ' Here's the Story ' gig was memorable for me, because went with a lady friend before the show had Belgian ales and smoked cigars at Toronado Ale House in the city.

Greeny, make sure to get up early on Saturday (Aug.31) get your cup of coffee going. Boot the computer and make sure you have the website in place along with your credit card. I would assume once it hits 8:00am you will be hitting ' refresh ' and ' enter ' for minutes before the website crashes. Don't panic if you find out tickets are 140-150 quid EACH ! ☹️

Ha ha - I've also entered the ballot(!) for the official presale on Friday!

Don't want to tempt fate, but I have a reasonable record of getting scarce tickets... even Glastonbury back in the day!

Word on the street is that the headlining band is no other than ... Blur. Afterall, Noel and Damon are mates. No, everyone from Ocean Colour Scene, Manics, reformed Verve and Dicky Ashcroft have been mentioned as headliners. It would be a total Mancunian Affair if the headliners were Happy Mondays and Stone Roses. That would be epic and worth the 151 quid. But I think I heard the members of High Flying Birds are the headliners - a bit of a letdown ... :(

Greeny what can you do ? The young lad wants to see Oasis.

y'know what's weird though? I can understand the buzz around some band reunions where a lot of the members have been off the radar for a while, and people haven't had a chance to hear their music live. build up an enigma and all that (Stone Roses fell into this category)

But both Liam and Noel have ongoing solo careers and tour a lot (with sets including a lot of Oasis songs). Literally the other night Liam headlined Reading with a set of Oasis songs. So why the extreme excitement? It's not like people are also gagging to see any scintillating musical chemistry either - anyone can plod along and play the songs pretty accurately.

I think they've always known how to play the media and although I think the feud was genuine they know that giving soundbites and slagging each other off keeps the legend alive and gives it a soap opera element.

Made a half hearted attempt to get tickets. Only just got access to the Ticketmaster website after 5 hrs and every time I click on a date, I'm over 300,000th in the queue. Needless to say, I've moved on. Life is too short. TBH, after getting put in the queue 1st thing this morning, I only pursued it out of interest. I wouldn't be happy having to shell out £150 a ticket. Reports today suggest dynamic pricing up to £350 a ticket. Not for me.

I consider myself lucky to have seen them a couple of times early on, inc Earls Court which I thought they were awesome at. They seemed to get bloated after that, so no regrets in missing out on Knebworth etc.

Quite a few other bands out there that I'm more excited in seeing before them. It's just a shame that both Nick Cave and Godspeed gigs are coming up and I don't think I can make them. Not quite ruled out yet though.

According to reports today it’s been an absolute shit show, 5hr waits to find “dynamic pricing” has driven tickets to £350!! That is totally out of order imo. Myself I got 3 tickets for one of the Edinburgh shows last night through the presale ballot system, still an eye watering £167 each :(

Niam, its one of those double edge swords. Griping about the £160 tix price which is outrageous. The most I spent was maybe $ 80 for Bauhaus and Kraftwerk.

Once the tour starts and you start hearing about the reviews of the 2 1/2 set you'll regret about not getting the tix. I think it'll be epic. Just waiting to see who the headliner(s). are.

Yeah the Knebworth shows closed out the era of Britpop and Oasis as a band. The subsequent albums are shite. I, also own " standing on the shoulders " and " heathen chemistry" and they don't compare to the first two albums. It's a testament to Oasis and their drawing power. I'm sure both the Gallagher brothers are both shitting themselves how tix sales have gone bonkers this morning.

Greeny, did you get you tix ?

At least the website didn't crash 😳

Yeah, I think that when you've spent all the time waiting in the queues and then get to pick your tickets, you're going to pay the £150. Might be through gritted teeth. The £350 is a massive stretch though. Just smacks of legalised extortion.

Hope these shows are great. The people deserve the best the band can give. Hope they make sure ex-band members are involved. John Squire surely will turn up. Weller too? A real opportunity to do it well.

A total shit-show, as others have said.

I even managed to get through the Ticketmaster queue to a ticket options page for the Friday night at Wembley, showing everything available (at original prices, this was around 9.45am) but whatever I selected it came up as an error. Spent about 30 mins trying every combination outside the 400 quid VIP executive party type things, no luck.

Finally thought, might as well just try and do one screen refresh, see if it clears the issue. Busted me straight out and back to no. 300,000 in a queue!!

That was it basically. Friend of mine from work, there were 16 of them trying individually, not one got a ticket.

See Tickets and Gig and Tours crashed well before 9am and never reappeared all day. I guess they just didn't sell any and Ticketmaster did them all?

Gutted for my lad, but you can be sure that in the days leading up to the shows tickets will start appearing all over. They always do.

Sorry to hear that. I knew that you probably didn't get tix because we didn't hear back during the weekend. I'm sure they'll tour the U.K. again after a European tour next year.? £350 tix are insane !
I knew the website would crash. That Saturday afternoon Noel was seen at the West Ham v. City match. He looked comfortable. Wouldn't you if you sold £ 200 million worth of tix in a short few hours ?

If their is a consolation their is an Oasis tribute band, Definitely Mightbe doing the rounds in the Yorkshire area and from the article doing quite well. The singer looks like Liam, got the proper jumper, trainers (adidas) and swagger. 😏🙄

I honestly think you'll be fine. Good chance that more dates will be added, even if not if you hold your nerve i am sure people will be offloading tickets for various reasons. Friends who can't go, double bought as were both in the queue, etc. Or even touts who start getting bit more desperate. Although i realise that ideally you want to plan properly rather than the uncertainty of waiting.

Great timing - my lad will be up north at Uni by then. And just to rub it in I got a place in the ballot, too!

Hubba hubba - plan A is still to wait out tickets going on Twickets in the run-up to the first July dates.
