acoustic mainlines vow of silence
i guess you don't have to observe a vow of silence if you go to one of the acoustic mainlines gigs and therefore know which treats uncy j has unearthed to delight the masses, but, can we have a spoiler thread and a no spoiler thread? some people won't be seeing spiritualized until the end of november, and so it'd be a shame if there were topics like 'OMG SPREAD UR WNGZ' to spoil the surprises.
i think this is a good idea.

how about a vow of silence while the man is playing? I've had a few gigs spoilt by people yacking to their friends and at the QEH almost came to blows with someone who was making their third trip to the bar and so had to barge past during the transcendendant intro to 'I think I'm in love'. I've got front row tickets for 2 shows so hopefully this won't be such a problem, but please spare a thought for your fellow guests who might want to listen to the music instead of hearing about how good they used to be or how pissed you are. Oh, and I propose summary flogging of anyone whose mobile goes off.

Well bloody said. Some bell-end and his 3 mates made 14 trips to the bar during the daniel johnston show at the barbican. Not one of them apologised. Abso-bloody-lutely!
People around me in the QEH had better be quiet during the bits they're supposed to be quiet or there's trouble ahead. I'm sick to death of c*ntish London gig-goers who can't shut up and listen for more than a nanosecond.
At least the Spz crowd can usually be counted on to behave, especially at seated gigs and especially near the front, where we'll be....

There was a bit of a row on here a coupla years ago during the Complete Works tour when some people (ie: me) had the nerve to complain about people who wouldn't shut up during the gigs.

I'm giving it a go as well, but since this is my first ever attempt at bootlegging it's sure to be a disaster!!
I was really tempted to bring my trusty digiCam in too, but it's so exposed at QEH I'm sure I'd have been busted without even getting a single song down...
Shame it's not like the Red Rose, where I video'd the entire Han Bennink main set without any interference at all!
