Favorite 6+ minute spiritualized song?
Why is your favorite spiritualized song that is quite long and why? What does it say to you about your life? How long has it been your favorite?
Mine definately is medication. Its just so incisive and terrible and helps me when life get me down and scares me . I also like the solo at the end, the great thing about noise rock for me is that I can tune into a different aspect of it one day, another the next, which wouldn't be possible to that extent if it was actually instruments playing that.

For me it's Shine A Light. The bass has been recorded so well. The descent into a musical hell and then the redemption of the sax blast at the end. Makes the hairs on my neck stand up everytime.

Feel So Sad, version on b-side of Medication.

Pretty much any live rendition of Take Your Time.

Feel So Sad (Rhapsodies), although i do tend to listen to the Drive/Feel So Sad-Rhapsodies-Glides And Chimes as it's sequenced on the Complete Works in one go to make it even longer!

I must say I've never been a big fan of Medication.
This question is too hard, there are a lot of Spz songs that easily sail past the 6 min mark! I could pick any of the ones already mentioned, but just to be a bit different I'll go for Don't Just Do Something- I think this has Jason's best ever lyrics and is epic in a different kind of way to the songs already proposed.

I think I would have to go with Shine A Light as well. I love the album version but, even more than that, I love all the different live versions of it on the official releases from the earlier versions on Fucked Up Inside and The Let It Flow EPs, to the completely different take on the Electricity EP through to the immense version on The Royal Albert Hall album when it comes in after the wall of sound at the end of the Happy Day intro. There was a brilliant version of it on a Glastonbury 2002 (I'm not 100% sure that this is the correct year as my MP3 with all my boots has since given up the ghost) bootleg I had which was simply glorious.
Take Your Time live runs it close but I think Shine A Light isn't just the best 6+ minutes Spiritualized song, its the best Spiritualized song full stop.

Shine a Light and Feel So Sad (ESPECIALLY the version on the Medication B-Side) are both incredible, but for me, it's Sway from LGM. That song puts prickles up my spine.

Mine would have to be Feel So Sad (Rhapsodies), with I Think I'm in Love in a close second.
FSS is a track that never ceases to amaze me. The recording of the 12" is perfect. Ultimate bliss.

Walked into a local pub last night to hear Think I'm In Love playing. Sounded amazing.

I like all the more 'epic' songs. Those listed above from Let It Come Down certainly do it for me, as does
'Baby I'm Just A Fool'

Hmm, this IS a tough one..... i think maybe Cop Shoot Cop or Medication, maybe Out Of Sight..
it really depends on the mood i'm in when i'm listening to the songs
