Thanks for that. Just finished listening to the whole thing. Wow!
The sound quality is great.

Also, I found the video for the whole performance at
http://www.inspiredbyiceland.com/music/#13023621
It looks like it was a great show (but cold and wet!)

Yeah the recording sounds great for such a low bitrate (109). Hadn't actually listened to it when I posted the details.
Thanx for the vid-link, will check it out now.

Anybody able to help me out?

I downloaded this set (thanks Tim!) but, after several attempts with various software packages I cannot convert it from m4a into mp3... or something I can listen to, dammit!

If anyone can advise me further, I'll be cheered and you'll get 5 years good luck or something.

for situations like this I use Audacity- it basically records whatever is playing through your soundcard. then you can convert that file into a mp3

Mediamonkey will play the file and convert it to whatever format you want. And Audacity is great for splitting it down.
Thanks for this video. It's not as good as the coachella vid but still great

Caught a little blurb about the gig on a random site:
Taking place in a public park in Reykjavik, the country came together for a varied bill topped by British space rockers Spiritualized.

Over 2000 revellers joined together for a massive free party. An eclectic line up, the vast soundscapes of Spiritualized found an appropriate venue underneath the dramatic Icelandic skyline.

Jason Pierce & Co. recently revisited classic album 'Ladies And Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space' but it was a varied set presented to the crowd at 'Iceland Inspires'. Dropping in a Daniel Johnston cover, Pierce said: “It was an utterly unique experience to play in Iceland in the summer, at midnight in complete daylight."

"The night’s been totally different, completely original and hopefully will go some way to telling the rest of the world that Iceland is an unbelievable place to visit.”

Actually going to Iceland for my honeymoon in October - Northern Lights, jeep across a glacier, Blue Lagoon, Golden Circle and presumably lots of brennevin to keep us warm!

Wow, as if we needed reminding how beautful the acoustic stuff is...

Talking of beautiful, there happened to be one or two rather attractive members of the backing band as well

Thanks for sharing, kind of took me by surprise that they'd be doing any more Acoustic stuff.

Downloading the vid just now! I was happily surprised this was pretty much a full gig as other performers only got 20 min each.
It's a pity they had to relocate the concert to Reykjavik due to the weather, although I suppose it also meant a bigger crowd. I was watching it at the weekend, I also liked the extended choir although the Icelandic girls weren't quite gospel-like!

Is anybody else having real problems downloading this vid from Vimeo. I've set myself up an account but when I press the button to download it just chunters away and ends up doing nothing. I've tried on both Firefox and IE, to no avail. Am I missing something?

Following the advice here a little while ago (cheers all) i'm still having issues...

I've downloaded what is clearly a sizeable m4a file (approx 54 MB) but when I transfer into Audacity it turns into a couple of seconds worth of distorted noise... any ideas what i'm doing wrong here?

Alternatively, if any kind soul has managed to already convert to mp3 well, let me know!

Yours hopingly- :D

Yeah, I am. I've signed up and when I go to the video it's just a flash video, no download option even when right clicking.
It's nice to be liked,
But it's better by far to get paid.

Is there anyway to get this file now? I love this performance and have watched/listened to it on youtube many times.

Thank you so much for this. I have trawled the web for months trying to find a decent copy of this gig to no avail. So this is amazing.

I also registered onto this board to see if anyone can help me find a good quality version of the LAGWAFIS gigs Spiritualized did a few years back. I have a few bootlegs, but they are audience recorded and generally un-listenable.

If anyone has any pointers it would be much appreciated!

Oh and hello everyone!
