recurrying

It's fairly unlikely you'd have made it here without ever having heard of Jason's previous incarnation. So here you go, talk away...

Pete is saying in The Catalogue - Feb. '91 that he wanted laughing between all his tracks, with good sequencing.
not bad idea.
that would have been sad idea for the other albums, but for Recurring it could have worked.

Unless you really do mean 'Recurrying' and it's a completely different album you're talking about.

I think that one's by the Spicemen 3.

"spicemen 3"

usually i try to avoid posts that don't have any information, but that was fucking hilarious. my compliments.

Yes, that is Pete and I think it adds to the sleepy drug-addledness of both versions of the song, but it is pretty goofy at first.

Don't tell Spacemanrob, but this is almost certainly an idea originally had by the blessed Brian in 1967.

Looksee: I can tell the future!
SpacemanRob will write:
But your precious BW would have used elevator-muzzzak laughter. Sonics wouldve been fuzz and epic. Unpeel your ears and give up on your pathetic mental-case BW. He hasn't done anything worth listening to in twenty years, whereas Peter Kember hasn't done anything worth listening to in fifteen years.

I love you you impotent fool but remember, as in my review, Sonic is cool and BW is dead.... But please try and work out who i am.... I am important and this must be the crux of my arguement.... By the way have you heard how great the Byrds are or how each Verve b-side fills me with orgasmic pleasure????

Rock on....

"This Chard... is for you"

1 bunch Swiss chard, or red chard, rainbow chard, whatever.

Soak the chard in a big bowl of cold water.
chop 3 cloves garlic nice and small.
Heat up some olive oil in a sauteé pan so that it's not too hot, you don't want the garlic turning brown, you just want it to sizzle around a bit.
So when the garlic is nice and sizzled, squeeze most of the water out of the chard and break it into pieces or chop it. Then put it in the pan and cover it for about 7 or 8 minutes. The water from soaking will make it all wilted and delicious. stir it around and when it's done and off the heat, maybe a sploosh of Apple Cider Vinegar.

terrific stuff.

I'm sticking with my theory that all these song titles are bogus, but also that TPP is a concept album detailing the perils of buying a red-hot Indian after a night on the booze.

Let me present the evidence:

Take Me To The Other Side - "(hic) I'll have the hottest one on the menu."
Walking With Jesus - "oooooh Jeeeesus, it's hot!"
Ode to Street Hassle - a fight on the street outside the chippy
Ecstasy Symphony/Transparent Radiation - the curry starts to kick in
Feel So Good - "mmmmm, poppadums"
Things'll Never Be The Same - the curry really starts to kick in
Come Down Easy - a good squat on the sh-tter
Call The Doctor - "aaarrrggghhhh! me rectum!!!!"

it all makes sense now!

taking drugs to make music to eat curry to

(EDIT: or maybe that should be eating curry to make music to take drugs to??)

in other news, i think ode to pete's 'basil' might make it onto my next album, should i ever get anything recorded.
